Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Give Freeza the same half-century training with several gods Goku got and he'd have to fuse with Beerus to beat him. Actually, No, because there is no evidence that Frieza has limitless potential, meanwhile it is indeed stated multiple times that the Saiyans have infinite potential. Where was that ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
It's a popular claim that in the DBS manga Goku and Vegeta didn't absorb SSJG into their base forms. Wait, what!? How can they transform into Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan then!? :eh: The manga just treats SSGSS as the "next stage" of Super Saiyan God, like SS2 and 3 are to the base SS. B...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Plus, in the manga, he quite literally saw Beerus fight at full power in a free for all between the other gods. We know he had to have gone all out because the Grand Priest threatened them with death if they were caught not fighting with everything they had. You could argue the threat wasn't serious...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Chapter 103 Broly compared to Broly (vs Blue Gogeta).....which one is supposed to be stronger? I was under the impression that Broly didn't access his "Beserk" level of strength vs Gohan, therefor he is still way stronger than what chapter 103 showed......or am I wrong? It depends. If you...

Re: Legendary Super Saiyan is weaker than a Super Saiyan 2?
Well, we'd have to take a look at his movies to make an estimated guess. In his first movie, Broly was kept under control by Paragus' device, and it affected his mind by turning him basically docile. It doesn't feel like his base state was particularly powerful, or that Paragus risked training him f...

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
SSjin 2 Vegeta (Pre Majin) vs Super Perfect Cell (manga) Vegeta was hella cocky by dismissing Dabra, and Cell after returning (his Super Perfect form) was strong enough to fuck Gohan's arm up and match his normal full power in a kamehameha clash. It took Vegeta breaking his focus AND Gohan explodin...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 103 - Official Discussion Thread
I don't know if this really needs to be spoilered, but since the chapter isn't officially out, might as well be safe. I've seen a lot of controversy on Twitter and other sites about Goku forgetting Pan and I'm really conflicted on the whole thing. If it is just a pun about Pan's name meaning 'bread...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
I read the chapter too, Gohan powered up some and then bypassed Goku's ui speed and dodging and hit him SO hard he lost UI, and apparently Gohan hasn't masted this form yet either. So in terms of power Gohan is higher but as Vegeta points out there is a gap in experience with Goku having the experi...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 102 - Official Discussion Thread
So Beast Gohan is in the same league as Perfect UI Goku which also Ultra Ego Vegeta is in and Black Frieza is above all that and I guess Orange Piccolo sits below all of this.. Correct. Gohan still considers Piccolo pretty awesome, though, so the difference might be small enough for him to contend....

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 102 - Official Discussion Thread
Don't get me wrong, I love Gohan, and I'm as excited about his Beast form as Goku is, but, if Beast really is just his rage ramped up to 11... it's just super saiyan 5 and that's so disappointing given the path he's taken to get here. What happened to finding a path to an ultimate form apart from h...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 102 - Official Discussion Thread
I hate how, every time now after Goku’s fight with Granolah, his UI has been depicted as simply a generic power-up. Gohan's Beast form is just that, a monstrous raw numbers boost that somehow puts him on the level of gods, kinda like Jiren's strength. But as the Granolah arc clarified, Goku’s silve...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 102 - Official Discussion Thread
I genuinely disliked this chapter. Taking Carmine and Thug #10 to a trip to Beerus' Planet? Having Gohan fight Trunks and Goten beforehand and do nothing really interesting with that? Not to mention it had a way better fight choreography than Gohan vs Goku, which was as generic as it could get. I ge...

Re: If Toriyama decided to bring Zamasu back
Give Zamasu a boyfriend! Hey, Freeza's single right now! Technically he does love himself, he even fuse with himself. Can't exactly get closer than that. Zamasu hates mortals, therefore would hate Freeza. good, that'll make it hotter the dialogue between those two would be amazing , especially if t...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
But when did Broly got to near death? He was pummeled, but didn't seem very hurt, and Gogeta's last kamehameha never hit him. All other instances of "zenkais" happened after the saiyans body was left near death. Broly came close to dying, but not because of damage. Gogeta's kamehameha migh...

Indeed, he was. But then later he was having no trouble with both Jiren and (both versions of) UI Goku fighting around.SupremeKai25 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 1:51 pm
Actually, was he not having trouble following the speed at which Dyspo and his enemies were moving around?

Re: There was no reason for Gas to fear UE Vegeta.
Plus, it's a good old case of suspension of disbelief. Vegeta could have crossed the distance at whatever speed, but the story needed him to stop cold on his tracks just before hitting Gas.
Science really does not apply in those stories.

I mean, he was at the epicenter of his own timeline-erasing technique and later was shown floating in the nothingness left with not a single scratch. You could argue that he's immune to his own techniques, of course, but then... He was capable of perceiving the whole fight of UI Goku vs Jiren at the...

Honestly it's not even stated that it's Grand Priest who's doing that to angels who break their code. As far as we can tell, it's a natural phenomenon that, at the very least, the Grand Priest is able to undo somehow. It's really vague, though.

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Broly just regained his crown with the minimal training he's done. What's the big deal? He went from from base level to Blue fusion in one fight, why can't he get a couple times stronger with actual training? In hindsight, Toyotaro probably "ignored" Uchida because he just slipped a spoil...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Broly is, at the same time, probably stronger than Beerus and an ant compared to Black Freeza who's NOT EVEN ON THE LEVEL OF THE GODS OF DESTRUCTION YET, WHICH INCLUDES BOTH BELMOD AND BEERUS I'm not sure we should assume he's an ant compared to Black Freeza yet. Remember, he's heavily nerfed right...
