Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

Guys! I just saw someone post something about Toei on Twitter. Apparently, they're hiring the "digital team" for an upcoming "new big project". Could this be a sign...? https://twitter.com/evandro_pedro96/status/1171011149342617600?s=20 Yeah I ain't doing this song and dance again until the show is...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions

I think the Boo saga is a lot of fun and I have a lot of fondness for it despite its structural issues.

Re: Future DB(Z) releases should be edited for it's painfully outdated LBTG+ content

Speaking of the infamous General Blue scene, I'm curious - how would people feel if, in a potential Kai-ifying of the original DB (which isn't going to happen at this point really, but just for the point of argument here), they kept the scene but re-wrote the dialogue to the scene somehow or anothe...

Re: Future DB(Z) releases should be edited for it's painfully outdated LBTG+ content

i don't think that scene would be in a "manga edit" of the original dragon ball anyhow. yes the penguin village as a whole is really different in the anime compared to manga, but i imagine they would probably cut a lot of scenes and keep it as close as they can. definitely won't happen but yeah. We...

Re: Future DB(Z) releases should be edited for it's painfully outdated LBTG+ content

I agree, the WB method is the best.

That said, if there is ever a Kai version of OG Dragon Ball, since it's a new product and the preservation arguement is moot, I'll be a little upset if they don't remove the scene of General Blue creeping on Obotchaman.

Re: R.I.P Ariane Carletti

The French opening is the one that the Blue Water OGDB opening was based on right? If so I've heard it, not from either Canada or France but its definitely a catchy song. Rest in peace.

Re: Unpopular DB opinions

Not finishing Nappa, Rikum, Jeice, Burta and Ginyu (and I'll include Freeza too) is more elocuent than any spoken dialogue Toriyama could've possibly come up with to distance Goku from the rest of the saiyans. Goku has regularly killed enemies throughout the manga. He even killed a fleeing Staff Of...

Lmao no kidding. These clowns defend some random dude on YouTube as if they know him. Ajay seems cool, he was wrong, no biggie, he owned up to it. I remember that hilarious Geekdom (prob the biggest moron they defend) video of his “proof” that he didn’t lie (despite being quite rude to people who d...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions

My problem with negative criticism these days is not that people can't express bad criticism but the WHOLE INTERNET is filled with sour, sad, angry and so on negative criticism comment about anything on any subject and Dragon Ball is one of the victim too. It's like Internet helped to increase the ...

Has Dragon Ball opening 2 been released creditless anywhere? I was under the impression they only put out opening 1.

Re: Possible details on Selecta Vision's Dragon Ball (1986-1989) bluray release

So I'll admit I've learned a few things here that I didn't know previously in regards to the movies' production. All that said though, none of it negates the fact that the films were originally released and exhibited (aside for, as mentioned previously, some of the earlier ones were in 4:3 depending...

Re: FYE Announces Dragon Ball Z Orange Brick "Collector's" Box Set

These are apparently out now if anyone cares. Of course my local FYE took it upon themselves to immediately choke the things in a spider wrap, destroying the boxes and ensuring that they’ll sit right alongside the other orange brick box that’s been there for years to come. I don’t know what I hate ...

Re: Possible details on Selecta Vision's Dragon Ball (1986-1989) bluray release

I actually kinda like it, and I totally wouldn't mind seeing rounded corners if it means we can see the whole frame. Of course, this assumes it doesn't reveal anything like that Gohan Masenko effect cut-off. I mean, if it's a stylistic effect, I don't mind. A YouTuber, Vinyl Rewind, has a border ar...

Re: Possible details on Selecta Vision's Dragon Ball (1986-1989) bluray release

Going with widescreen over standard definition was a must. This is like the third or fourth time I've read that Q&A over the years and that sentence still hurts my very soul whenever I read it. On topic, I'm really uneasy about this release. The fact that 16:9 even crossed their mind does not bode ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread

Funi added more dub episodes to their stream today but completely skipped 110... 109 is 22 minutes long and ends at the spirit bomb struggle, and then goes right to 111... I swear it's like they go out of their way to piss their fans off. I'm half expecting the blu-rays to ship like that now. ...ma...

Well, this feels oddly familiar . Anyone here who votes 16:9 -- I will go to your house, drop a category 5 dooker at your doorstep, and glue all your stationary to the ceiling. The poll has 4:3 winning at the moment, but just barely. It's at 53% while 16:9 sits at 47%. Oh boy. I have a bad feeling ...

One Piece Stampede director Takashi Otsuka has today tweeted that production is now complete. Little over a week away from its theatrical release. Fingers crossed the staff that were pulled from DB to help can return to Super right away. https://mobile.twitter.com/takaswy1981/status/115647031281005...
