Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Why are people acting like Vegeta did nothing with his new move because he didn’t beat Moro with it? The move actually brought the Namekians back to life. So even if Vegeta doesn’t beat Moro saying he accomplished nothing with what he learned on Yadrat is completely false I mean sure the Namekians b...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

It feels like everyone's just retreading the same points in this thread and flinging the same rebuttals. We can keep discussing it if you want, but I'd rather agree to disagree than drag this out any further. I fully admit I’ve been guilty of this as I’ve been talking to different people and feelin...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I don’t agree that they are the same thing at all Yes Vegeta was sorry for his part in resurrecting Buu and also killing the people at the stadium. In the Buu arc he is able to help fix the mistakes he made that same day But here Vegeta is showing regret for the evil things he did in the past that ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

So every terrible thing Vegeta has ever done must also be personal to the audience? Even though we are aware of all the horrific things he's done during his time serving Freeza? So by your reasoning, nothing else Vegeta has done throughout his life; none of the planets, not the countless thousands,...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Except Vegeta literally sacrificed himself against Majin Buu to make up for all his past deeds. Not just those on Earth. It is the point that by the end of the Buu Arc that Vegeta has come completely over to the good side. There would be no more regrets for him to have. His future from then on is t...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

But here Vegeta is showing regret for the evil things he did in the past that he couldn’t fix because they are from too long ago (perhaps with the Dragon Balls he could fix them but with the exception of the Super Dragon Balls I am not really sure if that is actually true) Ok, so when does it stop?...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I see it more as a combination of expanding and expounding. It's why I've been using the word "extension" so often - this is taking a pre-established aspect of Vegeta's character and extending it to an entirely new kind of situation. We've seen Vegeta show remorse and attempt to fix his mistakes re...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Well, Vegeta showed peak personality in the Broly movie. Didn't hesitate to kill someone like Broly due to him being a threat. Talked a little, showed his power via actions and even stood up to reinforce Goku when he saw he was in a pinch. Okay, his fusion talk was kinda undermining this whole thin...

Here's a way Vegeta could win Back in chapter 52 Vegeta was told that it was possible for yardrats to create clones of themselves by splitting their spirit in chapter 60 it's shown that Vegeta split Hatska into many weaker Hatska by splitting his spirit Vegeta will split Moro's spirit to create man...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Like I said, Freeza in Resurrection 'F' was the closest Vegeta came to getting some vague reminder of his past, but even that encounter was hardly as direct as coming face-to-face with the same people he slaughtered years ago. Those are two totally different situations, guy. I myself wouldn't have ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Besides the Super Dragon Balls can the other Dragon Balls even wish back that many people from so long ago?

Sometimes I am confused about what the Dragon Balls can and cannot do.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

The Vegeta line about being a villain and hell was one short scene and we are literally writing pages and pages about it I do feel called out about the angst thing because I love angst lol but that moment with Vegeta was hardly what I would call angst and it’s barely even much of a self reflection. ...

Re: So is this whole Moro arc basically the, "Garlic Jr. saga" of Super?

How have they been handling it? There are no consequences for Vegeta’s past actions but he still feels guilty. Though there isn’t a lot of focus on it just a scene here and there Well, that’s better than nothing. Yeah what’s there is definitely nice. I just didn’t want you to go in thinking there w...

Re: So is this whole Moro arc basically the, "Garlic Jr. saga" of Super?

Is the Moro arc really delving into the Vegeta redemption angle? I stopped keeping up with it, because I just couldn’t stay invested, but if so, that’s actually somewhat surprising to me. The manga version of DBS has generally been pretty barebones, with the lion’s share of the more “complex” theme...

I believe it was said that Toriyama came up with the Merus angel angle

But the Vegeta redemption thing feels way more like Toyo to me.

Re: Anyone still hopes for Goku and Vegeta to make themselves scarce for an arc, or two?

I mean something can happen to Goku & Vegeta that they need to be rescued & are incapacitated

I know this probably will never happen but I’d love the angst. And it would give the other characters a chance to shine because Goku & Vegeta literally couldn’t save the day.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

It's obvious Merus is gonna settle this and give his life away to save Earth. It's more obvious Vegeta will split them up using his new technique. There's also 2 techniques people are overlooking, his potential to heal himself, and whatever he did to those Yardratians before going to earth. He was ...

I don’t think Kami will be removed. Piccolo and Kami are supposed to be one being

But it might be nice to see Nail get his own life back.
