Re: What would be the political stance of DB characters
Going by his first design, Oolong is clearly a hardcore Maoist!!

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Without commenting on the quality of the writing, its refreshing to see this special focus on a part of the franchise that doesn't get much (if any) what-if material.

Re: Deploy the Headcanon!
- Coola was born much weaker than Freeza and Cold, possibly without any of his father's mutations. This explains why Goku could fight him in base form, and why he resents his brother so much. Since he actually had to train for his power, he figured out a way to transform that gives him more power ra...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
Hypothetically, if Toei were to stick to movies what stories SHOULD they tell? It seems that Dragon Ball has said all it needs to at this point (lore aside). Battle of Gods explored what pride means to Goku, and how he feels like he's cheating himself by having to resort to his new God form to stan...

Re: Which older Dragon Ball games are worth playing?
I've played pretty much everything on the GBA and most of the DS, and those are definitely some solid choices. While there's atrocious stuff like the "Trading Card Game" and Taiketsu (which almost feels like a fever dream), Advanced Adventure is definitely one of the best games in the ent...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
I feel like the problem with Z's ending is that it feels very arbitrary. I get what it's going for with Goku finding his successor and training him, but the way it's done there's not really any finality to it. Goku's not retiring from fighting, he's not going somewhere far away, we know exactly what...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
As time goes on, the more I dislike that the new saiyan character in DBS Broly was... called Broly. It just feels like such a cheap marketing stunt, almost like they were "baiting" the kind of fans who dismiss anything not written by Toriyama: "Oh you liked the old Broly, well this ne...

Re: What was your first game in the franchise?
My first game (and really, my first introduction to the franchise, outside of some brief glimpses I caught on TV) was Budokai Tenkaichi 1 on ps2. I actually really loved it. The gameplay was fast and flashy, which was enough to grab my attention. I didn't know anything about the plot of the show so ...

Re: Which older Dragon Ball games are worth playing?
Granted, these aren't that old, but since you said anything before 2015: Supersonic Warriors 1 and 2 (2 is better overall, imo, but the first one has some of the best what-if content in the franchise). The entire GBA and DS library of dragonball games is pretty good actually, bar a few like Taiketsu...

Re: Does anyone use energy nullification/cancellation?
There's a scene in the anime where SSj2 Goku just "nullifies" Vegeta's chi blast:

The sequence starts at around 2:31
It's filler, I'm pretty sure, but at the very least there is precedent of characters being able to do it.
