Re: Vic Mignogna

I am confused about how this is good for the convention that he is coming? The convention did fine last year without Vic Mignogna so why exactly is it so important to have him this year? Yeah he might sell a lot of autographs and what not but what cut if any of that does the convention get out of it...

Re: Vic Mignogna

Anyone feel like the convention is going to end up breaking into two different events like a civil war situation? It's already starting to. Monica Rial is already going to sign autographs elsewhere. Yeah when I heard that I half expected more people to pull out and an announcement of a competing ev...

Re: Vic Mignogna

It kinda makes me sick whenever I see and hear random youtubers commenting on the situation when they clearly don't even know much about the franchise or the voice actors. People will jump onto any band wagon and comment about any situation for political reasons and the likes and views.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I think the highest that I will pay for is $150 or maybe $200. No more than that. But what if I threw in a statue you didn't ask for and charged twice as much? Yes that sort of thing is really such a rip off I mean usually the sort of thing included with these sort of limited edition things are che...

Re: Funimation Dubbing: My Hero Academia vs Dragon Ball Franchise

Um...I love your enthusiasm and love for My Hero Academia...but this is about the DUBBING of that show vs the dubbing of Dragon Ball and what makes you like it better than the other I literally blanked that part out. I would say the MHA dub is better but that might just because English suits the we...

Re: Another omg Goku is voiced by a woman in Japanese discussion

I didn't really watch any of the Japanese till Super I had a preconceived opinion of it because of small samples on Youtube. I think Masako Nozawa as Goku is an acquired taste. I love her as Goku now after having spent like 130 episodes with her as Goku but it's really hard to get used to at first. ...

Re: Funimation Dubbing: My Hero Academia vs Dragon Ball Franchise

I can't gush about My Hero Academia enough. I haven't watched a show that brought me this much joy in a long time. The thing that really gets me about MHA that it has over every other show is how friggin likable basically all the characters are it's got such a huge cast of characters and they are al...

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?

Those little Gashapons in the Dragon Ball capsules are fun. I got Super Saiyan God Goku and Goku Black. Can't wait to get a few more. Since I don't have money to invest in real figures those are fun and cheap to try.

Re: Where would you rank DB among "Shounen" Anime

I can get why people would think Hunter X Hunter and One Piece are better than Dragon Ball but I am utterly at a loss as to why you guys think Yu Yu Hakusho is so good. To me, it is the definition of mediocre with The Dark Tournament being the only good part (and even then it had problems such as H...

Re: Where would you rank DB among "Shounen" Anime

snip Seems like you like Yu Yu Hakusho quite a bit. Are you not interested in Hunter x Hunter? Level E is also pretty good. I was gonna say Parasyte seems like your kind of manga, but then I figured it probably isn't really within the Shounen demographic. I remember Kunzait saying that he didn't li...

Re: When/will Dragon Ball, Z, GT, Kai and the Movies be on Netflix (US, namely)?

Should it be on Netflix? I mean I like Netflix but titles come and go from their site all the time. In my opinion its best to subscribe to the Funimation streaming service or buy the sets. There's always something to watch on Netflix regardless that some content is taken off for new one to be added...

Re: Ever got sick of Dragon Ball?

After the show went off the air the first time I didn't think about it much till DB Evolution was coming out I followed that for a while I was optimistic and enthusiastic about it obviously it did not deliver but I had a blast discussing it with other people up until it came out when that didn't go ...

Re: I love the Funimation Dub pre-Kai

I love it too I mean I don't get to revisit it too often cause like who has the time but the fact that it's sometimes dated tacky and cheesy is part of the charm. Even the old show still takes it's self seriously when it needs to. The Saturday morning cartoon feel of the old dub is not a bad thing i...

Re: Why are they still releasing new stuff like DBS on DVD?

What i don't understand, is why so many companies, especially Funimation, always include DVD with BD release? I kinda appreciate the combo pack since It's nice to have an extra copy even if it's standard DVD just in case something happens to the blu-ray or you want to watch it in a room without a b...

Why are they still releasing new stuff like DBS on DVD?

I personally don't really know why this is a thing still? I just wonder because it's just a little frustrating to me that retailers like Wal-Mart, for example, tend to stock DVD over Blu-ray in some locations. I love Blu-ray/DVD combo packs but I don't really know why people would still be choosing ...
