Another possibility is that this is the timeline from which Bardock Xeno and King Vegeta Xeno come from.

The bit of Bardock actually leading the rest of the saiyans against Freeza is amazing. I'm guessing time shenanigans are involved since Vegeta, Raditz and Nappa are older than they should. Plus, Bardock's armor has the color scheme of his Time Breaker one.
