Goku introducing himself as Kakarrot definitely felt weird, but I liked it. It’s essentially him saying, “You could call me that too, if you want.”

Gogeta's demeanor in these shots reminds me a lot of Vegetto.

Not a fan of the yellow portion on his vest instead of orange, but I can overlook it.

So does Goku remember his past, or is him introducing himself as Kakarrot the equivalent to saying, “I also get called that, so you can use that, too.”

My point is that it seems to me that some people are excusing his poor writing as him just "wanting to rush things" to get to what ever comes next in the story.

I figured Freeza was a child during the destruction of Vegeta. His voice sounded more high, and he was much more shorter. That scene with Cold and Freeza being presented for the Saiyans seemed like Cold giving Freeza some kind of “gift” to reign upon.
