Re: Trunks special and 5.1 audio?

Impossible. They're mixed the same way the 2013 Blu-rays are mixed where the music track is mixed into the center channel with the voice & SFX tracks. Once it's mixed like that, there's nothing anyone can do about it. The only DBZ 5.1 tracks that exist with an isolated center channel for voice and ...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions

Not sure if anyone else has said this but I often feel like I'm alone in this opinion: I much prefer DBZ Kai (At least the Saiyan-Cell portion with the Yamamoto score) to DBZ. This is probably because I grew up watching Kai on Nicktoons when I was a kid so nostalgia is a big part. Plus I just prefer...

Re: Dragon Ball Z 4:3 Steelbooks

Gonna be completely honest, I'm probably only gonna buy two of these. Season 5 since my orange brick set of season 5 is missing ONE DVD, and season 9 since I just want a way to make 4:3 edits of Kai without having to buy another Dragon Box.

FUNimation downgrading surround sound to stereo

To be clear, I'm not talking about the dub with the Kikuchi score, I'm talking about the original broadcast dub. So basically when FUNimation was in the process of re-dubbing the saiyan saga of DBZ and making the Johnson score, they decided to give it a 5.1 surround sound track for the Ultimate Uncu...

Re: Voiceless Audio Track on Chinese VCDs

This topic has a lot of potential. People here are talking about the possibility of fan dubbing more scenes but I feel like you could do even more than that. Like you could invert the audio with the japanese version and get the JP vocals without SFXs and music. That alone could be used for mods, ani...

I went to go download this and for whatever reason only the first episode is available to download. Did Toei get to it?

[Test] 5.1 Surround Sound Yamamoto in the Cell Saga

Hey everyone, it's been a while since my last Score Edit on here but I'm back. I've had this Score Edit ready to be presentable for a while now but I'd like to know everyone's thoughts on it before I actually commit to doing the rest of the Android Arc. But basically, yes, I've managed to create a 5...

If you want my recommendation for another good file sharing site I'd suggest using Media Fire.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: 30th Anniversary Legacy Re-cut (BD-Hi10 4:3 1080p)

Been using the raw BDMV .ts streams for them. Same for Kai. Only way to ensure the final export after editing retains disc-level quality (which is why the file size for each episode is around 6gb). I might have to try out that format sometime. It might be helpful since I'm thinking about making a K...

Re: Dragon Ball Z: 30th Anniversary Legacy Re-cut (BD-Hi10 4:3 1080p)

I'm actually curious how this project turns out, it sounds very cool despite the fact that I haven't actually gotten to watching it yet. By the way, since you decided to go with the 30th anniversary Blu-Rays I'm curious how you're gonna get the footage for them. Whenever I try to get footage of them...

Re: Is there interest in a DEFINITIVE version for Dragon Ball Kai: The Final Chapters?

Something you guys should know before even attempting this is that Dragon Box Footage is in 29.97 FPS while the Kai Blu-Rays are in 23.976. So you'll either have to edit the Dragon Box footage in 23.976 FPS or the Kai audio in 29.97 FPS. I'd recommend to edit in 29.97, since whenever I change the fr...

Re: First time home media release?

I mean, if we're counting people selling VHS recordings it was probably that. But I don't doubt that was even allowed, let alone in Japan. All I know is that when Pioneer and FUNimation were releasing their DVDs, some fans in Japan imported them because Toei didn't release their own home release yet.

Re: What would be your ideal Dragon Ball home release?

I just remembered something else I want for a home release that I doubt anyone else will want, and I'll be sure to add this to the original post too. But I'll sometimes rip the Dragon Ball DVDs and Blu-Rays to mess around with the episodes (Don't worry I don't upload them illegally) and something th...

What would be your ideal Dragon Ball home release?

This is just a random question I'm curious to hear other people's opinions on. Since the Dragon Ball community's opinions can be pretty diverse at times. To clarify, I'm talking about what you want out of a home release, not what you're favorite is. Would you rather it be 4:3 or 16:9? On a DVD, Blu-...

Re: Nathan M. Johnson Unreleased Music

Parts can be obtained from FUNi's Old DBZ Movie Singles. It's in AC3 and has really good audio quality. The Blu-Rays are in surround sound (A.K.A. AC3) as well, however if the SFXs and music in the singles are formatted differently from the Blu-Rays then I might look into it. If not then I'm not go...

Re: Ripping Music from the GT "Yellow Brick" DVDs

I'm intrigued that there's people who call the GT season boxsets as "Yellow Bricks" because if that is yellow, it's the greenest yellow you could get. To be technical, it's kinda like Lime Green but definitely not Yellow unless someone's color blind and sees them differently. I thought they were ye...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Everyone seems to be confused on my "extending frame" idea I proposed. People think I'm talking about funimation's blu-rays/orange bricks or Kai TFC when I wasn't. I was talking about the original run of kai on japanese TVs. This is what I'm referring to. https://i1.wp.com/www.fanboyreview.net/wp-co...
