Re: Can someone explain to me this score removal in the "Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle" dubs?

They removed these tracks because they contain singing in Japanese. A lot of dubs around the world avoided these particular tracks, too. You're from Brazil, right? Check out the PT-BR dub of DBZ episode 28. M424EXT is muted when Piccolo dies. It's the same as the insert songs: They don't want to le...

Re: For the Kikuchi's OST lovers - Can we all Assume that M249 and M250 are the same track?

Great job! I like that the whole track is in the same volume throughout although the sound effects are more noticeable. But overally I like your version better than mine. Thanks, I did that with your rip of M441-1 too as well :) Thanks. The only other I've done in that manner is in fact H19: http:/...

Re: For the Kikuchi's OST lovers - Can we all Assume that M249 and M250 are the same track?

Another god has appeared! I'm puzzled as to why the cue's usage in the scene in DBZ episode 15 caused fans to believe that these are two separate tracks. For me, it was just the opposite: the scene solidified my speculation of this being one, singular track. The first half of the "Departing the Isla...

For the Kikuchi's OST lovers - Can we all Assume that M249 and M250 are the same track?

Haiayaaaa again, sorry for bother, but this case is something about the Kikuchi score that my mind always gets confused when I'm about to think in a conclusion for it. "Departing The Island" (M249) And "Kame Sennin Speaks of Friends° (M250) are the same track, yes or no? Please tell me your thoughts...

Re: Can someone explain to me this score removal in the "Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle" dubs?

I've thought about that for a while in the past, but it actually doesn't make any sense imo "The Tree of Might" theme in DBZ Movie 3 had several arrangements, and some of them featured the exactly same chorus section, but the entire score of the movie can be normally heard in the international relea...

Re: Any DB character themes that are as prominent as Piccolo’s from the original?

They can be, but they don’t originate as such. It’s a lot better IMO to make motifs that don’t spring from the OP, or sometimes even incorporate a motif into either an OP, ED, or insert song (though this only happens if the same composer works on all of those). I know it's ur opinion, I agree and d...

Can someone explain to me this score removal in the "Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle" dubs?

Haya! I think that's my first topic XD Well, what I'm talking about, this is actually a old issue, but I just had the idea of asking a reason for it now. If I'm not wrong, in any international version of Dragon Ball Movie 2 "Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle", two BGMs are missing, one when Bulma ...

Re: Should they stop making English version of the songs for the international audience?

I actually doesn't care for them still doing it, but The "Engrish" versions of (Flow) Hero - Kibou no Uta and (Daichi Miura) Blizzard are bad imo, so, for me, they shouldn't stop doing it, but they shouldn't have started doing it too. (Maximum The Hormone) 'F' and (Momoiro Clover Z) Pledge of Z didn...

Sorry for the silly question, but was Raging Blast 2 Yamamoto' last work in the series?
Because I just searched for the Ultimate Tenkaichi ost and noticed that he wasn't the composer, but Hiroshi Takaki.
Sorry for the mistake, I'm talking about Yamamoto.

Re: Why Kai 1.0's Kikuchi Score was so limited.

Well, first I'm gonna say a fact that nobody cares about. Unfortunately I never watched the first half of Kai (the first 98 eps), just The Final Chapters in it's release on Latin America in 2017, I live in Brazil, and for some reason Cartoon Network avoided to reprise any of the first 98 episodes an...

Re: Akihito Tokunaga Plagarized (Stole?)

I don't think that is plagiarism, this happened sometimes with Z and OG DB too before, like with Kame Sennin's exercise songs as Valerius Dover said, I believe it is a production music, as some guys above said.

Re: How Would You Handle the Music of Modern Dragon Ball?

Hmmmmm this is a hard one for me, I'm satisfied with Sumitomo's work in the series after his ToP score, but let's see... I've heard just a bit of Yamamoto's compisitions in Kai, but I think his work fits modern DB, but we all know his problems with the plagiarism. Well, what I can say, I would reall...

Re: Why did Toei hire Yamamoto for Kai in the first place?

I never took a time to listen to Yamamoto's soundtracks, I think I don't have interest too due to the plagiarism, I just heard some little pieces as his copy of "Hunting High and Low" from Stratovarius (which he hammed as "Challengers", from Budokai 1) Well, if I was in the Toei's staff, I would sug...

Cap Sora said it all
Also, this of "Movies Ost >>>> Anime Ost" also happens with Akihito Tokunaga and Norihito Sumitomo
Compare Tokunaga's "Path to Power" ost to his "GT anime" ost, and Sumitomo's "DBS Broly" ost to his "DBS anime" ost.

Re: Original BGM with the broadcast audio

And the dead dino friend placement was also fitting, imo. The first couple bars are ponderous like Gohan’s grief, but really it was just an animal he chilled with for a day, and he’s just a four year old who can’t really comprehend grief yet, so he weeps briefly and moves on with his adventure, lik...

Re: Original BGM with the broadcast audio

I wish that the characters had more established personalized theme songs. Like the same beat sped up/slowed down/using different instruments where appropriate. I've just always been into personalized theme songs. This actually happened with a huge frequence in the movies, Master Kikuchi created a b...

Only themes I remember from him is Goku Black theme and when he makes orchestrated version of opening themes, that have really distinct and rich melodies... Wait?? Black have a theme???? Re: Any DB character themes that are as prominent as Piccolo’s from the original?

You are right, "Saiyan Blood" despite being sung by Vegeta's voice actor and its lyrics being about Vegeta, it isn't a Vegeta's theme. Despite "Solid State Scouter" being played in two moments where Bardock is being badass and it going down as being acknowledged or at least related to Bardock chara...
