Only sounds wrong when you put it like that lol. But it's more that he's following the ideals he learned as an Earthling as opposed to those of the Saiyans. Not really about race.

Re: Which Story Arc or Movie did Goku Character Best and Why?
I think the Saiyan Arc handled his character best, with him rejecting his Saiyan heritage and instead seeing himself as an Earthling. I just think it makes the most sense for a guy like Goku

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
I have to be brutally honest, I think the packaging on the Z Dragon Boxes looks terrible. I don't like the art, the yellow is a bit obnoxious, and the logo looks ugly to me. I don't mind the art on them, but what really annoys me about them is the cases for the DVDs. The printing on them chips away...

I think the release as a whole was going to be limited to 6,000 (someone correct me if I'm wrong). So it'll probably just go to thateledoremassis02 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 11:25 pmAlso, what happens if you order but the reserve is filled up but the site doesnt automatically update??

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Pretty good point. Also, I haven't been in this particular thread for long, is there a petition to spread around or anything? You know, to spread the word? Because if so, I'd like to share it on the Kakarot page I run. It's fairly big, so I'm sure I can help a bit (though a huge part of its audience...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I lost hope already tbh. They're less than 400 orders from reaching the 3,000 reservation minimum. I've seen too many people who have just gone "good enough". And even when they recognize how awful the product they're being shown is, they'll justify it with the mention of the artbook and Banpresto G...

[Not sure if this was already in the Ocean dub or just the Funimation dub. Like 90% sure it wasn't in Japanese original] DBZ Episode 18 Bulma: Oolong, you're such a coward! I'll bet you think taking a shower is dangerous Oolong: It is unless you have those gritty little stickers on the bottom of the...

So is Lance heading into the Freeza Arc for DBDTV now, or will that be after the Cell Arc is completed in normal DBD?

Re: Why wasn't DB Kai a completely new animated series?
Not the most knowledgeable when it comes to behind the scenes at Toei, some I'm most likely wrong, but I have 2 guesses: 1) Maybe they were too cheap to spend the extra money? While Dragon Ball makes them tons of money, I've heard that Toei doesn't really like to spend too much. And they'd have to r...

Re: Why did the spirit bomb kill Boo but not any other attack or blast beforehand?
Was the Spirit Bomb just more special than any other attack (even though it didn't kill Vegeta and Freeza)? If we look beyond the original story and into the movies, the Spirit Bomb is used as the finishing move many times (against Wheelo, Turles, etc). So even though it never managed to land a vic...

Re: History of Sonic and Dragon Ball Z
While we're at it...I've always found Goodfellas and Dragon Ball to be very similar! After all, you have the temperamental short guys in Vegeta and Tommy, Goku/Henry finds Vegeta/Tommy to be a pretty funny guy, and both Goku and Henry spent a lot of time staring at hovering objects tracking them do...

Re: History of Sonic and Dragon Ball Z
Sounds like the video creator confused manga/anime Bulma with Dragon Ball Evolution Bulma. Eh, maybe but I don't remember much about her character in Evolution (for the best, I hope) Anyway, I kept watching the video for a few more minutes. Apparently Tenshinhan is a ninja, just like Espio. Huh, th...

Re: History of Sonic and Dragon Ball Z
https://youtu.be/rcxjpnvMC2Y Watch this video. Rouge is smart, Bulma is smart. Lol, the video lists their similarities as "Treasure Hunter", gadgets & weapons, and that they're both with the main rival. So, for starters, Bulma isn't a treasure hunter. She's not collecting the Dragon Balls in the st...

Re: History of Sonic and Dragon Ball Z
Seriously, what's wrong with it. They don't have any real history together. Sure, Sonic games have occasionally been inspired by Dragon Ball, but it ends there. Everything else you mentioned is their based on coincidence or tropes. And some parallels you mentioned make little to no sense. Rouge the...

I agree, the original score is just way betterBroly深蓝 wrote:It is good on its own but it doesn’t pace well with the anime for me, but perhaps it does for the dub which it was intended for.
