What's up with TOEI and Toyotaro or even Toriyama himself not releasing plot outlines to the public?
They should display them in a Dragonball Super guide book or interview.
I'm also surprised we haven't gotten some guide book, as the 3 original anime and manga got plenty of those.

The year is already half way over and we're still not out of the Moro arc which began 2 years ago.
I can't see it lasting longer than 2 more chapters, maybe 3 if they really stretch things out.

5 years ago, on this very day, Dragon Ball Super began, and I honest to God can't believe it's already been five years. It feels like yesterday when Super was first announced and the internet exploded.
Hopefully this day next year we'll all be talking about how great episode 132 is.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

If Vegeta either doesn’t defuse 73-Moro with his new technique, or finishes him off after MUI Goku weakened him, then all of his training on Planet Yardrat would have been for nothing! And we would have every reason and right to complain as hard as we’d like. You don’t build someone up for so long ...

I will say, due to the pandemic, Digimon will now likely go until next June, as they lost a cour.
It depends on if Toriyama has given them any new material to work with.
They'll have the Moro arc from the manga, and possibly Broly, so together should give them a year's worth of episodes.

Toriyama gave Black a ssj1 form, but it never made it in the anime, just the manga.

So if this year's Jump Festa mentions nothing about a continuation does this mean we can just forget about Super being announced until at least July of next year?
If nothing is announced (movie/Super 2.0), I'm going to begin to question whether anything will be at all.

Bandai is holding a live gaming event on July 22nd, which is 2 days after V jump is out, so maybe they'll announce something in either the magazine or the event. I just can't imagine them waiting much longer to release XV3, as it'll have been 4 years this October since 2 was released.

Re: The hills we choose to die on and the fights we battle for when it comes to Dragon Ball

I was curious about OG Dragon Ball because of the flashbacks and references, but it definitely took more time to get used to than Z, especially as a kid when the transformations and insane fights were much more important to me. That's because DB was never meant to be seen after Z, as things escalat...

Re: What is the main reason Vegeta's fans are furious with DBS Chapter 61?

Its somewhat implied that Moro's power-up is now permanent and isn't reliant on the amount of life energy he had stolen before, meaning that Vegeta's technique will be useless in de-powering Moro a second time. You're forgetting about Vegeta's second technique, his ability to defuse fused characters.

No, at least not in the anime and manga.

The fact that beauty and art standards throughout world culture and all of history are at least half-universal points to the existence of objective quality. Of course quality can be objective, anyone who says it isn't is just trying to cover up the fact that their taste in some things are...not gre...

Whats so bad about the Z anime (besides pacing)?
For me personally, bad pacing can kill a show for me. As much as I like Z's story, its pacing has made it unwatchable for me, but thankfully Kai exists.

Frankly for me, Battle Of Gods, the movie, felt like it was done by Toriyama itself after Buu arc, Then it went downhill. I've always said this. BOG is the only part of modern DB that actually feels like it belongs in the original manga, something like a lost story that Toriyama didn't publish back...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

With dragonballs, there are actually no stakes... unless someone kills the God who created them or they have some bad side effect like in GT. But death really means nothing in Dragon Ball, as you can revive the characters over and over, until they probably die from old age and still, they live in a...

Re: Official "Super DB Heroes 2018 Promotional Anime" Discussion Thread

Vegeta finally made his Ssj3 anime debut, it's not in the main anime, but it's an anime none the less. I'm very surprised we've yet to see something similar to this in Super, him just powering up and fighting in it for a few seconds before using SsjG. With all the fan service going on, I'm surprised...

Honestly, if anyone had to die, I feel like the only one who'd have impact dying would be Gohan. I mean, 17 faked his death in the ToP, I can't see 18 doing anything suicidal. Piccolo died ReF.
They missed a huge opportunity with Roshi, as his death after that great speech would've been perfect.

I feel like Moro hasn't made himself too personal to Goku and Vegeta. I mean, outside of the Namekian thing, he hasn't really killed anyone of note. He killed a bunch of innocent populations offscreen mostly, two his own henchmen(Saganbo and Shimorekka). That's not really anything too spectacular. ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

The writers can't have Moro be defeated so easily, as without 7-3 he'll just revert back to his frail and weakened state again. The idea may be easy, but actually doing it won't. Look at Cell, on paper, the idea of just punching #18 out of him is easy enough, but look how hard it was to actually pu...
