Pretty self explanatory title, who are the 10 most popular characters in the franchise? It doesn't matter if the character is canon not, we're just looking at popularity. The characters can be anywhere from the manga, movies, anime, video games, spin offs, side stories, etc.

Manga wise, there is no indication of Krillin being stronger than Freeza.

With DS, the biggest reason they are so successful is because of the anime. I have never watched or read DS, only heard that it's a pretty solid series, but certainly nothing groundbreaking. But the anime adaptation was so successful, the manga sales skyrocketed.
