Re: It's time for Goku and Vegeta to learn how to breathe in space
Also, God Ki should absolutely solve this issue. The god forms let them to temporarily turn into full-on deities, thus able to survive even the vaccuum of space with no ill effects - solved. No one will question it because "well, they're gods in those forms, right?" Honestly, they should ...

Re: It's time for Goku and Vegeta to learn how to breathe in space
Well, there are only 28 inhabited planets in Universe 7  Spread across two trillion galaxies, if it's the same size as our universe. "Let's take this fight to an uninhabited wasteland" could become "Let's take this fight to an uninhabited galaxy". But yeah, it should be mad...

Re: It's time for Goku and Vegeta to learn how to breathe in space
While I like the concept in theory and it could work through the magic that is Ki, I don't really see how it could be anything more than just useful for flashy stuff since it isn't really practical. Destroying planets like that works for the characters like Beerus and Champa who don't care about the...

Weekly. I'm ok with a small number of pages each week compared to monthly releases because weekly manga add up when they're done well.

Re: Was Goku really reenacting the fight with his grandpa in #94 or was it a coincidence?
I don't know what the intention of the creators was (although the similarities were probably deliberate since it would be a pretty big cosmic fluke if they weren't), but to me, it does seem like Goku was reenacting the fight. The movements were 1:1, he even moved back and forth a bit after he did hi...

Re: Is Beerus what Goku will eventually become?
Eventually? The two are already similar enough as can be, the only difference is that Beerus is a little more responsible about his duties than Goku. I don't really view Beerus as more responsible than even DBS Goku. He has made... Errors but Beerus is on a whole another level of irresponsible. Eve...

Re: The All-Purpose "What-If " Thread
What if the Goku was not hit by truck-kun and actually won the 22nd world tournament? Nothing much would really change. He would believe he's the best fighter similar to how he felt after beating King Piccolo (before he got schooled by Popo) before Kuririn dies a bit later and everything goes wrong...

Re: What character can carry a TV series?
The antics of the Son family would be a kicker of a sitcom I second this. Gohan or Goku alone can carry a series for me. But it would be even more amazing if each season just focuses on a different family. It would be hilarious to see the interactions of the Briefs family and also the family of Goh...

Re: Shouldn’t Goku and Vegeta have Godly Ki in their Base forms now???
When you get acclimatized to nothingness, nothingness will always be what you'll get. You won't all of a sudden start to feel anything else other than that. Short and logical answer: no, not possible. It's illogical, but I certainly think it's possible for the manga to incorporate that, or just not...

Re: Shouldn’t Goku and Vegeta have Godly Ki in their Base forms now???
With regards to the whole God ki sense thing, is it possible that the other Z-Warriors have just acclimatised themselves to sensing Goku and Vegeta's Super Saiyan God forms after being exposed to them for so long? Ultra Instinct is repeating the same beat of it being the new undetectable hotness, b...

Re: Shouldn’t Goku and Vegeta have Godly Ki in their Base forms now???
Considering that they have mastered Godly techniques which possess Godly Ki (Beerus has God ki), Goku’s silver haired UI also has God ki (confirmed a couple of times.). And perhaps most importantly, TOPPO had God ki in his normal state (In fact, Toppo doesn’t even HAVE any transformations at all.) ...

Re: Goku's fighting style
I have yet to fully reread the manga so I don't have any proper analysis going on, but I don't think Goku ever had a style, and that's for the better. He's truly styleless in the original manga, similar to Bruce Lee. He learned a large number of things from various instructors, each with their own s...

Re: Does Anyone In DB Actually Have A Power Level Of 100 Quintillion???
I think we should assume the 1,300,000 refers to his max power. Even if he's way off, and his power level is actually in the billions (I don't have any reason to assume that), that's still a far cry from 100 quintillion. Freeza said 1,300,000, but Toriyama wrote it. I think it's meant to show that ...

Re: Was Toriyama's Cosmos Map ever meant to be taken literally?
I don't think it was, even if it was it shouldn't be. The map depicts the planets of the Kaio to be large enough to be visible on the map, yet as we all know King Kai's planet is much smaller than the map makes it out to be. It's just a map that's intended to show the overall structure of the macroc...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
I suppose someone in the localization team really wanted to push for a certain scaling unless they somehow misinterpreted the original Japanese. If it was a mistake, I'm concerned. I really wish it was a part of the original Japanese though, the chaos might've been fun to witness.

Re: In a fighting series, why is it problematic to discuss the power-scaling of the characters?
I think the best recent example was in the Broly movie. Broly, after powering up to his Ikari state, and losing his mind , recklessly fired a blast that Vegeta dodged - Goku then said that the whole planet could have been destroyed if that attack landed anywhere. Then Broly, after becoming MUCH mor...

Re: In a fighting series, why is it problematic to discuss the power-scaling of the characters?
My biggest issue with DB's power scaling is that it treats everything as though it were made of explodium. Starting in the first arc of DB, Roshi could blow up a mountain by using a full power kamehameha. Only one arc later, this same move could now just blow up the moon as though there's no discer...
