I can see why they feel the need to speak out but how much can you stretch your story out to fill a season of podcasting?

I don't think we'll see a physical DBZ UHD release. Even short anime haven't been put on UHD despite us being so many years into the UHD format. It's only this year we're seeing the first ever UHD of any anime TV series, and that's only in the UK (Future Boy Conan, 26 episodes).

Like I just said, Toei didn't use this chart. They used same codes but they had their own palette for those codes. This is accurate for anime industry in general. For DBZ, this can only be "a good guide of sorts", not an actual palette chart.

This chart is fan-made and he sampled the colours for the chart from photographs of animation cels he found online...so yeah it's not that accurate.

There are alternative charts out here, also fan-made, but more reliable because those fans sampled from actual ...

The reason I'm putting a downer on this is for people to be realistic about what they can expect. And also not to froth at the mouth so publicly that this entire project and preservation attempt is shunted. This community and many others has real problem with things like that.

Nah these actually were shot to film. Kodak EPY film to be precise which is more for individual slides/photography and can come in 60mm+ but also 35mm--not sure what was used.
