Re: Possibility of "Llec", "Appan", etc (reincarnated villains)

I like the idea of Raditz and Nappa being reincarnated as Goten and Trunks. This is moooooooooost likely not the case though.

Re: Appreciating the Little Things

I live for the little things. Forget beam struggles and transformations -- gimme stuff like Muten Roshi hiding in a drawer after Goku kicks Lunch in the face (yeah that's a thing that actually happened). - A confused Goku poking at an empty mech, knocking it over, and thinking "He just... died! What...

Re: CREATIVE WRITING EXERCISE: Create your own "Tournament of Power recruitment arc" with IPs of your choosing

Let me try this with the franchise I was obsessed with before I got into Dragon Ball: the Looney Tunes. Given the random nature of Zen'o as well as the Looney Tunes, the point character could be anyone, but let's say Zen'o loves watching Looney Tunes and Bugs Bunny (1) is the most prominent one, so ...

Re: Did General Blue save the RR arc?

I wouldn´t say Blue single-handedly saved the arc (*cough* Tao Pai-Pai *cough*) but he is definitely one of its highlights. The Muscle Tower section is one of my least favorite parts of the story (though I would still rate it at least 7/10). Metallic, Buyon, and White aren't the most interesting of ...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

The potential of uniqueness in Gero and 19 in terms of moveset/playstyle is so great it's simply mind-boggling why they're yet to be added. Especially considering the story mode is so centered around characters related to Gero. Xenoverse was weird that way, too - a huge cast of characters including...

Whitelisting the Kanzenshuu domain didn't get rid of "Blocked Advertisement"

When I went to read the recent editorial about the Galactic Patrol , I noticed a "Blocked Advertisement" at the top and bottom of the page, saying "All funds generated from advertising on this site are used solely for covering its hosting services. Please whitelist this domain in your ad blocking so...

Re: DB and Nostalgia

Hard to say; the line gets blurry. My experience with Dragon Ball has been a journey of change, learning, adapting. I no longer consume the series the way I did when I first got into it twenty years ago. My journey started with Dutch subtitles on an amalgamation of multiple unfaithful English dubs, ...

Re: Can we have the ability to "Like" and otherwise react to posts?

Another forum I'm on uses 'private likes', where you can see exactly who liked/disliked your posts, and you don't see the like/dislike ratios on any posts other than your own. It's kinda nice because that way it doesn't turn into a popularity contest, and whenever someone does like your post (or whe...

Wow! It's honestly surprising to hear that you haven't had any formal classes, because the whole "read the text in its entirety before you begin" is like Translation 101 stuff that I heard over and over throughout the course I took. There is, of course, a world of difference between translatin...

So good of you to telluce and lettuce know all about the Tullece Corps. *Ahem* Kaio-approved puns aside, it never fails to blow my mind just how much Kanzenshuu is up my ally. I'm into comics, languages, making sure information is as correct/accurate as possible, etc... I even have a degree in trans...

Re: Rank your favorite Dragon Ball characters tier list

I limited mine to characters who appear in the original manga, as that is the material I revisit the most. Everything else is not as fresh in my mind, so I can't rate those characters accurately (with a few exceptions such as Jaco or Beerus, but I left them out anyway). Some fairly notable characte...

Re: Is there a reason for why the DBS Manga can’t become weekly?

In order to pull off weekly releases, mangaka have to work almost 24/7. It's a gruelling, cruel schedule to force someone into. I've been drawing a comic for fun for five years now, and I can barely manage one mediocre-quality page a week, let alone a full high-quality chapter. If I went at it full-...

Re: Kanzenshuu Members' Favorite Manga

You're right - my pick would have been the original Dragon Ball manga by an ENORMOUS landslide. Out of all the options you've listed, my favorite is easily Jaco the Galactic Patrolman . It's charming, down-to-earth, comforting, and of course hilarious. My second and third picks would be Reincarnated...

Her Tullece performance is very akin to her Goku Black performance anyway, so the delightful "evil Nozawa" is still represented. Happy birthday!

Ha-chan was still hanging out in Jingle Village. Could've been interesting if Gohan met #8 and they bonded over pacifism or something. That could then have naturally progressed into Gohan's power-up against Cell.

Re: What parts of the franchise evoke nostalgia for you?

This is a weird one, because there are various layers and sources at work here. When I decided to start watching Dragon Ball regularly, the first thing I tuned in to was actually the "ally to good, nightmare to you" episode. I am very happy to say I have no nostalgia whatsoever for that vocal perfor...

Ahhh, I love listening to people who seem like they know what they're talking about. Funnily enough, that panel with Kame-Sen'nin's video tapes (or books or whatever they are) actually caught my eye recently, but I couldn't quite make out what the titles were. Never thought I'd hear about the detail...

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

Just realized something about the Cell arc. When his victims are revived at the end... a whole bunch of people must've respawned in the middle of the sea where Cell blew up those islands. Including cripples and frail old folks and babies. Oh god.
