Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?

From my experience, it seems unusual for a UK DVD to be in NTSC. I'm guessing it's to preserve the original frame rate, since I'd imagine the Blu-ray release would have been like that. Well our branch of Crunchyroll was Manga UK up until 2021, a company who did release NTSC DVDs. The Yu-Gi-Oh GX, 5...

Episode 269 of Z has a different line of dialogue between the original broadcast and subsequent re-airings and releases, as this thread explains: viewtopic.php?p=1609527

Re: AB Video to release OG Dragon Ball on Blu-Ray

I'm surprised AB Video didn't try to fix the order of the ending (NEP first, then credits). Must be a lot harder than it seems. Some vintage Toei Animes have kept the original order on DVDs. Here's which ones I know for sure: GeGeGe no Kitaro (1968-1969 and 1971-1972 versions) Sakigake!! Otokojuku ...

I saw it on that "Dragon Ball Z in the UK" video by DBZimran and it did indeed say so there.

Even better is that they could make the Ocean dubs an option on Crunchyroll as well.

What if any obscure dubs became popular?

If this topic has already been discussed in another thread, please link me to it. We all know that FUNimation handled most English-language dubs of the Dragon Ball franchise, but other companies such as Harmony Gold and Creative Products took a shot at it, although they didn't cover the entire serie...

Re: Dragon Ball GT Ending; Moving or Depressing?

I am curious how they handle the ending, though. They took out Day of Destiny: Spirit vs. Spirit in the Z dub. In curious if they did the same or let Dan Dan play. Damn, I guess it's easy enough to find out on my end lol They just used the Japanese version of Dan Dan , in spite of an English cover ...

Are you sure you didn't get that mixed up with their final version of "Curse of the Blood Rubies" that reverted the name changes?

I don't think this is the best place to ask about where to find them, but I'm pretty sure YTV never used the Japanese opening to begin with.

Re: Has the "less cuts" in the YTV airings of the Westwood dub claim ever been verified?

I have every episode of DB and DBZ recorded on VHS from YTV in SP speed all transferred. I can check any particular scenes if anyone can specify. Its been a few years since I've been active in this community to prevent burnout but I've recently decided to make a return again. From the top of my hea...

Dragon Ball Daycare
Dragon Ball XY&Z
Krillin's in the House

In all seriousness though, something tells me at least one of the new shows will probably just be called Dragon Ball.

Huh. That reminds me of how GreatSaiyaman777 spelt Broly's name as "Brolly", as seen on some of his movie/special comparisons on the now-defunct "DBZ Uncensored 2". "Bro ll y" was a common fan spelling back in the day, and I still prefer it over "Bro l y". I ...
