Re: What's that BGM in the Japanese version? Read the OP!

I may be a year late, but seeing how it was brought up a few times the need for a Dragon Ball Super documentation, I decided to show what it'd look like if I actually cared about Super. Funnily enough, I do genuinly like the Sumitomo score here, but being busy with Yamamoto and the DBZ movies plus m...

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?

Dragon Ball Tankōbon, volume 27. Found one left at my local store and bought it, they've been out of print here since 2020 and they just happened to have the volume with the most important moment for the franchise on their shells (got it at US$5,88 which is cheaper than most Tankōbon of other mangas...

Re: Reworked Dragon Ball BGM Documentation

I couldn't find Kenisu website, but searching lead me to this thread and I can say I'm quite impressed by your work! I have always been fond of this series soundtrack and a document like that was pure gold for people like me who sometimes found themselves trying to remember a BGM or another piece o...

Re: What's that BGM in the Japanese version? Read the OP!

Wait, you don't have the documents for the movies? Weird, so the charts for all of the 16 movies in between the 86 and Z episodes will be disregarded in the next update? Also, yeah, that's why I said that I can't be sure about it, there are points for both sides Let's remember, for example, we have...

Re: What's that BGM in the Japanese version? Read the OP!

Sorry for disappoiting you, but no, that isn't a alternate, it's jut the actual released cue but with a custom fade-out added to the end, that can be made by using some audio editing softwares, I could even replicate it by myself here , this wasn't the only track that suffered this kind of edit, ot...

Blade's Documents is over! For Dragon Ball/Z/Kai Boo!

Well, the day has come, the day where I can finally retire knowing I finished the infamous draft of the Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Kai Majin Boo arc score; this work of months has finally been finished: Blade's Documents . There are a lot of people I must thank. Kenisu3000 had done t...

Re: What's that BGM in the Japanese version? Read the OP!

I don't mean to disrespect this work but during the last months I've finished an updated, corrected, more accurate documentation for the scores of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Y'all should use this one to look for tracks instead, it even has a rundown of all BGM CDs. There are also plans for a rev...

Re: "ShenLong is Summoned"

Yes, I meant that. My memory goes a long way for certain stuff, and I remember somebody posted this BGM a decade ago in YouTube video format, and I made a comment that the version he/she posted was actually an alternate version. I can't find this video now (maybe it got deleted), but I could have s...

Re: About Kikuchi's "The Pain Has Passed" & "Anticipation"

So, there are these two tracks that people like to call "Anticipation" and "The Pain has Passed" , what's the big deal with these tracks? Well, I see that it's been a long time that people considered these two being unused tracks from The World's Strongest, mostly specifically, ...

Re: "The Coora Crew Heads For Kurilin-tachi" doesn't exist... as we know it

Well I've already told in ManuGem's thread what I think about this, again, I disagree and I do think M1317A does exist as a different track, reasons are in my reply in the ManuGem thread, but I'm just replying here because just now I could understood your comment on the drama tape, they use M1317B ...

Re: Some rankings and statistics on the use of Kikuchi's BGM in the series

there is no such thing as a The Coora Crew Heads For Kurilin And Company alternate, it's just something he came up with because he didn't have the drama tape of movie 6 nor thought the second use of M1313A could be replacing an unused cue. It's not like that partner, M1317A does exist, it just real...

Re: Some rankings and statistics on the use of Kikuchi's BGM in the series

Both drama tapes contain alternate/unused tracks, and the fact that Kenisu "discovery" ended up just screwing up with his documentation further proves this. A lot of Z movies have unused cues, so the theory that they just removed it from the movie and trimmed M1313A makes far more sense t...

Re: Some rankings and statistics on the use of Kikuchi's BGM in the series

Small correction: M1313B is only used 17(/18?) times, Kenisu labelled most of the M1313A uses as M1317 (which isn't actually the beginning of M1313A but instead an unused movie 6 cue present in special 2 and episode 203) + M1313B . If we counted both versions as one track then it'd be 23 uses [4 or...

Reworked Dragon Ball BGM Documentation

Since Kenisu is still yet to do the final draft of his Dragon Ball BGM documentation, I decided to go ahead and make my own, with everything we know until now and some discoveries I did myself. His documentation, at least for Dragon Ball, is heavily outdated and has a lot of unrecognized cues, mixed...

Re: The peculiar case of G12 (Mai's News of the Valley)

I know this is a dead thread, but I'm gonna put it simple for y'all: everytime it's used in the anime and isn't interrupted, the last part of "G12-1" hangs in the air far longer than in the CDs before fading out, which translates to the CDs not having the full fade, and that is justified b...

Movie 10 and its inconsistent BGM mixing

An extremely short post since there isn't much to say. Movie 10 BGMs are mixed in stereo in the movie 10 BGM Collection, however in the Dragon Ball Z BGM Collection they were mixed in mono for some odd reason; which means there are two mono cues used in Kai, M920 and M1801 . Does anyone have any clu...

"The Coora Crew Heads For Kurilin-tachi" doesn't exist... as we know it

When the "10 billion" Metal Cooras approach Kurilin and the group, the first two seconds of M1313A play. Kenisu listed it as a separate cue and added a note saying there are no differences between them, however after doing some research I came to the conclusion that it is, in fact, just a ...
