Good and interesting post! I believe that by movie 9 both Future Trunks and Vegeta were using Full Power Super Saiyan. Just like how Goku and Gohan did before the Cell Games. The Z movies were just recaps of the last seen sagas/canon materials in a somewhat different plot.
