The Thing About Goku's Hair and Artstyle
One of the first things that comes in mind for Dragon Ball is Goku's comically enormous hair. It's something that even non anime fans could recognise and correctly identify it to be from Goku. But it actually started off pretty different, somewhat, having a more simplistic shape and is generally loo...

Base Goku end of Granolah vs Super Vegito during the Boo saga
Is there any chance of Goku beating them or would he have to turn super just to compete? Or would Vegito still get the upper hand either way?

Re: Toriyama and Toyotaro are bad at writing female characters/female Warriors
Considering how those people tends to be pretty critical towards female led affairs or anything that has a less represented group of people, I have a feeling Shueisha, Toei, Bandai, Bird Studio and Co would only be more intimidated or unmotivated to create more interesting female characters. Conside...

Re: Bora and Upa - Wasted Potential?
I'd at least like to see a reunion episode with the Dragon gang post Freeza saga at least. Sure, there's something like that in GT and Z did have Toriyama design a grown up Upa, but at least half an episode's worth of content would have been more than satisfying to me at least.

Re: Why is Kai disliked a lot/ not as popular?
We dodged a bullet. Considering how crappy Super was, yeah, we did. Well, yeah, mostly because of poor scheduling and poor character designs. Not very many people want to work with Yamamuro Tadayoshi these days and I doubt it would have been any different in 2009-2012 as it was later on in 2015-201...

Re: DBZ Origins the animated series by Disney
As flawed as Raya and the Last Dragon can, it'd be interesting to see Disney Feature Animation do more high octane action movies like Super Hero. That is, if the animation is like that and if the writing was better, of course. Although, it would have to meet certain standards to meet their principle...

Namekian Absorption: How Influential Are They to Changing their Personalities?
We know that Piccolo first did this technique with Nail in the Namek arc, and then later on with Kami (God) in the Androids arc. Some eagle eyed folks noticed that Piccolo had a change in personality whenever he absorbed someone, being more calm and collected. A farcry from the world conquering madm...

Re: Rurouni Kenshin case - Would you stop supporting DB?
It's a very tricky thing to consider. If it's someone like, say, the main man of the house with a medium that does not have too many others involved (in this case, Akira Toriyama), then it would probably be something I won't actively support as much, as in not buying figures and miscellaneous mercha...

Re: The Cell Arc Progression
It's funny, with so many horror stories about editors being control freaks and unable to accept the artist's intent, it's also comforting that the opposite has happened too. Obviously, the manga industry isn't perfect (and it may never be sadly), though usually there is an intent there so that the a...

Re: Characters Being Called Out Much More Often.
It would definitely be a breath of fresh air to see an arc that deliberately and surgically picks out every flaw the Dragon Team has, alongside the power and words to back it up. Make it a tragedy or drama, or at least something that doesn't getaudiences divided when it is just the usual DB pop junk...

Re: The Cell Arc Progression
I will admit, for as rushed and sudden as the villains handling was (of which the anime seemed to at least try to improve on), it's hard for me to truly imagine the arc without it either. As interesting a concept as a chi sucking robot that can steal and drain energy from our heroes is, I have to ag...

Re: How Would You Go About Making a Movie Plot for These Characters?
Themes of the story include: Gaccha is bad, especially when aimed at young people, technology is amoral but humans can use it in corrupt ways, Boy's Love, bisexuality and learning to grow as a person and friend. [/quote] Oof, that would probably cause Bandai Namco to lose it and demand it to be remo...

Re: Times Toriyama's lack of planning was most apparent
I mean the Android saga was the most infamous example of this, mostly due to the changing enemy focus and the sudden shift of Gohan being a main character. Though the Majin Boo saga was quite scattershot too with their changing villains and shift in protagonist. Of course, every DB fan worth their s...

Things Done Better than the Original Manga/Anime
When I say this, it is referring to after the original manga run and the last episode of Z, when Goku decides to train Uub to wherever it is they go. I can't say that the follow ups are perfect (if this forum is any indication), but there are some concepts and even executions that were done better. ...

Re: Why did the dub keep Hercule's name in Super Hero?
Well his estate would like some of that Dragon money too while we're at it. But as for the use of Hercule, I think Legends also uses this terminology. So it's definitely still being put into effect through official products, although a less necessary one as more people are willing to embrace the ori...

Re: My Idea for a New, Multi-Platform Dragon Ball Game
Regarding the platform to prioritise on, I'm not sure if having it on mobile devices is a great idea in the long term. Of course you can connect to SEA and other regions where console and PC gaming is expensive there, but it could also be used as an opportunity to nickel and dime players through mic...

Re: Fan group scanning/remastering of multi-generational film prints previously owned by FUNimation
Damn, makes me wish they went with what Gundam did with their HD releases and just rescan the film with modern technology. Although that's what they did with the movies and Z at least, I wish they extended it to OG and GT too. Dont get me wrong, I appreciate Kai for what it did, but I also wish the ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super : Super Hero" Home Release Discussion Thread
So with the release coming in three months, does this mean that Sony will internationally distribute the home media release as well? And if it does, I really hope they at least have it available on iTunes and Google Play in a reasonable price at other parts of Asia too (not just Japan lol), though a...
