Re: Dragon Ball Kai not streaming anywhere?
Funny you mention that, because in SEA regions the original FMA is also streaming, this time on iQiyi: https://www.facebook.com/iQIYI/posts/fma-fans-the-elric-brothers-are-coming-to-you-this-april-on-iqiyi-all-episodes-o/834087787233626/ That leaves me with a question about the mindset that are in t...

Re: Manga Readers Get the Short End of the Stick
I guess an anime being more popular than a manga would be alone would also not help things. Unless you are an absolute behemoth like Jojo or Chainsaw Man, not many people would be excited or bother heavily with it to begin with. It's not too surprising that when an anime is released, more eyes are o...

Dragon Ball Inventions and Items in Real Life
I have a bit of curiosity towards some inventions and items shown in this franchise that I think would be awesome in the real world. Of course, irl would have some sort of evil monopoly hoarding the best to themselves, but that's not the extent that I'm educated enough to discuss. Personally, I woul...

Hi just to ask do you know what's on the disk? From the cover it'd be hard to make out much I'm afraid

Re: Should Young Jijii get hired by the Dragon Ball Room?
Well, as long as he could contribute new and fresh ideas that the Dragon Room could not, why not? Maybe it would help diversify the franchise, though it could also inadvertently bloat the franchise if not done well.

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
I don't like how some diehard fans scoff at big crowd showings of popular TV shows (this isn't directed at anyone here, just a drunken tangent). You saw it with Game of Thrones , there were these pub screenings of the last few seasons that turned out huge crowds, yet many Freefolk types turn their ...

Re: Countries and Release Dates for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero
Well, if you ask me this movie would probably be a hard sell if this was my introduction to the franchise still. Technically a newbie can come in and the movie on its own gives out enough for those not on the know to understand the story, though the callbacks and other characters would make me scrat...

Re: Dragon Ball Kai not streaming anywhere?
You know what's funny? In some Asian territories (at least Malaysia and Indonesia), Dragon Ball Z Kai and the Final Chapters are currently streaming in WeTV (you probably do need a VPN for SEA regions to see this though). This is from the Indonesia Facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/wetvindones...

Re: Do You Prefer Reading The Manga In Color Or BW?
Personally, I prefer the colour somewhat even though I know full well it can be seen as sacrilege. Like, granted, the original manga can be easy to understand just through black and white, so if I were forced to read it black and white, I'd probably just go ahead and have a good time with it still. ...

Best Villain Redemption Arc
Out of all the ones in this franchise, which ones do you guys think was handled best? I personally enjoy the Majin Buu stuff, but Piccolo was excellent too.

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie #2 Thread: "Super Hero"
Just saw this today, and I have to say that, while not my favourite film ever, or even this year, I have a pretty good time watching it in the cinema. Perhaps that tempered reaction came from my excitement from the weeks or months of anticipation, especially since the US got it earlier than us and t...

Re: Countries and Release Dates for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero
Just to inform on the Malaysia side of things, it seems like they have been pushing the dates around a bit. I'm not sure if this is worth mentioning or not, but it's something I find interesting. This post from the Sony Pictures Malaysia Facebook page and the following from there mentions that it is...

Not really the best per se but some like Trunks decimating the Frieza Force soldiers in the beginning of the Cell saga was pretty cool. In just three panels they still showed how quick and effortless his attacks were.

Re: Is Dragon Ball the biggest manga/anime series globally?
I guess for Pokemon, people's perception aren't exactly helped with the international dubs being produced in an outdated and more loose form of adaptation, combined with corny voice work and jokes that would only appeal either to young kids or highly ironic anime fans, alongside the fact that they r...

Re: Will there ever be a Dragon Ball series with an entirely new cast of characters?
You guys are clearly sleeping over Sprit!Goku, Magic!Goku and Science!Goku smh. But in all seriousness, a new cast would be interesting to follow, like how in Jojo they change main characters and settings each time, though obviously series like those are the exception rather than the rule. Because o...

Re: "Dragon Ball Legends" Official Discussion Thread
This wouldn't be so bad either but there are some events that basically require the spotlight characters just to even beat it because it is outright impossible, or at the very least stacked against your favour. Maybe you can do it without the spotlight character if you are a super expert, but most p...

Re: The live action Sailor Moon has been found (and why it matters)
If you ask me, English dubs that try to keep the dialogue as close to the Japanese version as possible tend to sound stiff, especially when it requires the characters to make pauses in the middle of their sentences to match the lip flaps.. Mid sentence sentence breaks is my biggest dubbing pet peev...

Re: The live action Sailor Moon has been found (and why it matters)
Yeah, I'm glad it is finally found for us to look at an alternate Timeline where Sailor Moon and other Japanese IPs were Westernised to the max. I do see a vague blur for a Dragon Ball too? Or something akin to that, idk. I do think it is interesting for the Library of Congress to be considered a pl...
