Re: Dragon Ball Z Recut (Japanese version) Finished
I just watched the first episode and am impressed so far. Maybe it's the Level sets footage, the Kikuchi score, the slower pace within scenes, or all of the above, but it feels higher quality than Kai.
It seemed like the audio cut weirdly before the eye-catch and the cut to credits, like it was a ...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Recut (Japanese version) Finished
I understand, but that panel in the Manga isn't 1:1 in the original Anime. So we would have to use filler as it fills in this missing panel. I'll figure it out and try to make it work nicely.superplough wrote: Fri Jan 12, 2024 9:04 am I wasn't talking about a filler scene, just that one short scene that is in the manga

Hello there, could you please show us a couple of screenshots from the manga scene you are talking about just to be sure we are on the same page?

Re: Dragon Ball Z Recut (Japanese version) Finished
Hi everyone, the current editor here.
I just wanted to apologise for the slowing down of episode releases. My IRL job has eaten up all the spare time I used to use for editing.
On top of that, Namek Saga is *riddled* with filler and removing some of it has been brutally difficult. It's been the ...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Recut (Japanese version) Finished
What's the use of upscaling to 4k? Also, be sure to wait a few years to see if any new decent remaster come out.
I have actually seen the first episode upscaled to 4K from this recut and the difference is actually massive. Absolutely massive.
As for the "waiting for years for a possible ...

Okay.
Once I am finished with our current WIP I will be remastering it in 4K.
With Gamma Correction.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Recut (Japanese version) Finished
Will you use the som color correction or the furure AB BD box ?
The video quality is what I had used in 2018 but cleaned up, if that answers the question. You can check it out from the mkv files in the link posted above.
Okay.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Recut (Japanese version) Finished
I found it. Episode 171 in your original cut :).
That's going to take some per frame Image Manipulation, but we can do it.
Thankfully Subtitle edit has a tool called OCR, that can turn Images into Text.
So I am working through them one at time before I move back to piecing the episodes together ...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Recut (Japanese version) Finished
So, I've run into a major Road Block. The Namek Saga has a very strange Subtitle Format which uses an Image Based Subtitle language instead of a Text based one. So I will have to manually recreate the subtitles for every single file.
Wish me luck, I'll need it.

I could try to key frame it out. I will see what I can do. Do you know the Episode Number so I can investigate?
No filler is key.

Wow for real?! Have you found all the episodes yet? If not, I'll take the time to reupload "part 2" just so you gain access to them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this after all these years!
I found a BT that had all 257 episodes of your work :).
But if you have a Google Drive ...
