Re: DB Series TV-Size Karaoke Track discussions
As an evidence of what i was saying someone posted on x partially his "recording" of the ep right after vegeta became majin from the original french broadcast https://twitter.com/GeekHillZone/status/1783143622600225147/video/1 as you can see it's NOT the third version of the french opening...

Re: Would a complete DBZ English redub be necessary?
If a redub were necessary every time someone complained about dubbing errors, I think every show would have countless dubs. It's just ridiculous; a redub is only necessary if the first one is lost, damaged, or heavily censored. Dubbing again something already uncut would just be a waste of money. B...

Re: Funimation Release Doesn't Include DB OP2 & END 2-4
I came across the following video today and realized Funimation never included this in its release of DB. It failed to include the other OP and ENDs too. Does anybody know why? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAsspV1qKcI Funimation couldn't add op v2 and ed v1 3 4 simply because Toei only provided ...

Re: What's the video source for DBZ on BD from Kazé in Germany? Anyone has screen captures of SV and DBZ 30A BD releases
Is there that much fake grain on the 30th anniversary sets? And how do the different releases look during action scenes? not much but adding fake grain the way they did just fucked more than adding details, it fuck clouds etc german version use selecta version for sure, colors are the same and they...

Re: What's the video source for DBZ on BD from Kazé in Germany? Anyone has screen captures of SV and DBZ 30A BD releases
I am not sure it's a good thing. The 30th anniversary discs apparantly look worse than SV's upscale? Granted, I haven't compared myself. Maybe not, but if what Ajay said is true and Manga UK could only release the 2013/14 or 30th anniversary Blu-Rays they picked the lesser of two evils. Their relea...

Re: Fuji TV apparantly Fuji TV has Dragon Ball TV anime masters still. Could a remaster be on the way in a few years?
We don't know who made the remasters of the TV specials and that's why my thoughts and hopes started spinning. And unless Toei has a change of heart and think they can capitialize on Toriyama's passing, I think, like you guys, that they won't do a proper remaster. But policy changes in companies ca...

Re: Fuji TV apparantly Fuji TV has Dragon Ball TV anime masters still. Could a remaster be on the way in a few years?
DBGT wasn't stored on film as far as I know. Did you see the DBGT Dragon boxes yourself? Are you referring to audio when you say it's a sub par release? The example of Cutie Honey Flash is not too relevant because it's far away from the hit Dragon Ball has been. Why would they remaster that properl...

Re: Fuji TV apparantly Fuji TV has Dragon Ball TV anime masters still. Could a remaster be on the way in a few years?
You're completely right. I was just throwing up the question and as you see from the chat, I am hesitant to a project like that being under way or coming to fruition. It's Toei, after all. For me, it's exactly the same as the situation we've heard here for a long time regarding Chris Sabat and the ...

I see. Thank you for this. I wonder and really hope that this source could maybe be used for a future remastering of the TV animes but that might be dreaming too much. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJuv35oGoBk&t=2230s&ab_channel=-DragonBallCast- "Fuji TV announced that they have the masters of the anime" (talking about Dragon Ball). It's said at the 53rd minute, and 33 seconds in. For those who speak and read japanese, is this true? What kind ...

Re: AB Video to release original Dragon Ball on Blu-Ray
Where has it ever been stated that AB Groupe had the film prints? Nowhere has it ever been stated they do, nor has AB said so, nor doo I think anyone thinks that. It's been known for years now that they just AI upscaled & color-corrected the Dragon Box DVD masters. Some people in France were cl...

Re: AB Video to release original Dragon Ball on Blu-Ray
I have something to give hope to the situation. Toei Animation Europe proudly boasts about AB Groupe as a licensee. If they were crossed or angry at them they would not do that. If Toei had genuinely been angry, they would have done the following: - Remove the box set from sale. - Sue AB for breach...

Re: AB Video to release original Dragon Ball on Blu-Ray
What a surprise, they didn't like the broadcast audio out in the wild! Even if AB is allowed to continue their upscale, which I doubt, I almost guarantee you box 2 will use Toei's audio masters. I don't think that's the main point here. The box sold well. It's a legal release; Toei is making...
