I rewatched the Ocean dub Saiyan saga recently. While the translation and censorship are obviously not the best, the acting and even the Ocean score mostly hold up. To me, it's a cool alternative for the Japanese dub.

I'd watch whatever you WANT not what you feel like you "have to".

It's supposed to be fun and enjoyable, not an obligation. You don't have to conform to other people's opinions of what the "right" way to watch or be a fan is. If you want to watch the French dub, then do that, and enjoy your fandom.

I would be okay with them, if the video tracks were just Funimation's raws or colour corrected Dragon Box, like the Seed of Might releases.

It's such a shame that a franchise this big can only be properly experienced through a fan project.
