I think it’s inevitable that everything will get a remake eventually. Dragon Ball is one of those stories that was always going to outlive its creator. In 100-200+ years, there will still be “dragon ball” remade and retold in whatever the mass media of the time turns out to be.

It’s inevitable that an OG Dragon Ball remake will happen eventually. This is one of those stories that’s just going to keep being told and retold. Goku is going to outlive every actor who will ever portray him, just like Wukong did before him.

But I don’t think it’ll be happening anytime soon ...

Yeah, it really wouldn't be that hard. A lot of the key scenes of the two Zamasu's development work as-is, they just need to create new scenes to carefully bridge them together.

So, Toei wanted to make something new with DB in the mid-2000s, mainly because merch sales were down at Bandai, but they wanted Toriyama's involvement to develop it. I think a live action series similar to Netflix One Piece would be better. They could cover a lot more story in an 8 hour season vs having to cram it into a 2 hour movie.

Mark puts a lot of love into these adaptations. I respect it. I don’t always agree with the changes he makes but I feel like they all come from a place of thinking deeply and caring a lot about the story and the characters.
