Re: Frieza now stronger than Beerus?
I am pretty sure Beerus is still supposed to be stronger than all the other mortals at this stage. It almost seems as if the writers are moving the goalposts with him. The goal posts have never been moved. They just couldn't see the goalpost and assumed they knew where they were. Beerus has been mo...

Re: How far would a zombie virus get in the Dragon Ball multiverse?
If it is your typical normal zombie virus then it wouldn't last long, it could be wished away with the Dragon Balls, it is very unlikely that the Earth's strongest fighters are going to get infected early on, because they are mostly isolated, and too fast to be caught by civillians who turn into Zo...

Re: Does DBS really blatantly copy tropes this much?
Every form of storytelling blatanly copies tropes. Even real life. And it looks extra blatant when you use the most basic explanations without going into details.

Re: Do you like Dragon Ball GT?
I do enjoy DBGT. Back in the day this was the one sequel to DBZ, there was no talk about what's cannon and what's Toryiama's. Are you forgetting how, starting with the very first Z movie, there's contradicting stories. It was worse back then because the internet was still somewhat new and most peop...

Re: The Cell Arc Progression
To go along with the comments about other parties making suggestions to creators, didn't George Lucas get a lot of suggestions when making the first Star Wars film? Some of which probably made it as successful as it was. And that led to him giving up the director's chair in the sequel. Some even posi...

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
There's a sale for this on both PlayStation and Xbox, I have the 5 and Series X, is there any reason to get one over the other? All the DLC would be around the same price either way. I have Kakorot on PS and FighterZ on Xbox, if there any sort of interconnectivity.

Re: How would the series change if Goku kept his tail?
I've always thought there was something slightly odd about the way that the Oozaru transformations in the series were spaced out. Goku's first two transformations at the Pilaf Castle and 21st Tenkaichi Budokai were fairly close together, then the series goes an eternity without any Oozaru transform...

Also you want to prove animation is mainstream by... having a live action movie... Right. It's sort of a badge of honor. "You're so popular, Hollywood wants to try and make a billion dollars off you". Or at the very least, they are willing to spend $300 mil trying to make a billion dollar...

Re: Another "What If Dragon Ball changed focus from Goku" thread, but with a twist
. Letting other character(s) take the spotlight for a bit has never been an issue for myself or most, or dare I say anyone. Right. Nobody seemed to have a problem with the Garlic Jr saga because of no Goku. I'm pretty sure the Bojack film was fairly well received. The Broly sequels are hated, but n...

Re: DB doesn't really belong to Toriyama anymore, does it?
Without Toriyama's approval DB Super would have completely flopped like GT did. His name alone fooled many into giving Super Manga/Anime a chance and also caused many to pretend they like it in the first place. You take Toriyama's name off of the Super Manga and it would sell considerably less, hen...

Re: Beerus and Whis are the worst characters in the history of Dragon Ball
I agree. This and the thing with Beerus' power: no matter what Goku does, how strong he gets to the point of other Gods giving him respect, Beerus is still stronger. We constantly cheer on children as they grow and learn how to do things. We praise them and go nuts when they say their first words. ...

Re: How would the Dragon Ball fandom react if Jiren were made into a gay man?
Dragon Ball has always changed and art in general changes, so I don't see how this is an issue at all. We can criticize how Dragon Ball handles its character relationships. We can hope for things to improve. Dragon Ball isn't incapable of changing and improving. [/quote] Maybe I'm just over looking...

i assume this was directed towards the dude who got banned lol And they say Cancelling doesn't exist. Banning someone for going against the forum rules isn't canceling. What a stupid fucking comment. I was kind of making a joke I probably shouldn't have. But looking at his posts in this topic and h...

Re: How would the Dragon Ball fandom react if Jiren were made into a gay man?
I definitely think that there should be more queer representation of all types in media. I think that Jiren and Toppo have a lot of room for their dynamic to be expanded into a romantic one—and via subtext it feels like it already is in a way—so I definitely hope that we can someday attain a story ...

*Self hating heavy person detected* “No I swear, I don’t get offended by getting called fat and devalues based on my weight, I deserve it anyway!” I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I think a large portion of the DB fan base is so reactionary it’s worrying. i assume this was directed towards ...
