Re: HQ Dragon Ball Next Episode Previews (NEPs)
A few words to the wise for you: 1) Kanzenshuu has pretty staunchly always set a precedent against file sharing and download links, so you may be seeking this stuff out in the wrong place. 2) If you're going to seek out file sharing on a board that's against it anyway, both you as well as your poten...

Re: Toei VHS releases: Which one is which?
Does anyone know between the image comparisons of the VHS releases shown in this thread, which one would the be the letterboxed tape and which one would be the true 4:3 version? My instincts tell me the original releases are letterboxed and the the re-releases from 1996-1997 are the 4:3 issues, but ...

Re: AB Video to release original Dragon Ball on Blu-Ray
I don't think it does any company, entity, or anything any good whatsoever to blatantly ignore or write off ANY frame of comparison whatsoever just because the idea of the former looking inferior by comparison is uncomfortable. Granted, the comparison has to be fair, and mine was. I even said that ...

Re: Where is the most likely and/or most preferable place for Ocean's Dragon Ball Kai to be seen (in your view)?
Fair enough, I see what you're saying. I think it's best to ignore people who have taken it upon themselves to get mad at something being leaked online when it would otherwise never get released. I get the "support the official release" mindset, but there has to be an official release to ...

Re: Where is the most likely and/or most preferable place for Ocean's Dragon Ball Kai to be seen (in your view)?
Snip With the examples you gave it sounds like they those shows were getting released and hackers just leaked them ahead of schedule. I know many people are still stuck in the denial stage but Ocean Kai isn't getting an official streaming or tv deal ever. It's been 13 years and Kai is long past yes...

Re: Where is the most likely and/or most preferable place for Ocean's Dragon Ball Kai to be seen (in your view)?
On the Internet Archive, at this point it might as well just leak online instead of expecting a tv deal to ever happen Apologies for the odd timing, but I'm only quoting this now because something just occurred to me regarding this concept. Even if a leak, by some once in a lifetime alignment of st...

Re: AB Video to release original Dragon Ball on Blu-Ray
Sorry, but that's probably not something for you or any other single individual to decide. There have been lots of unexpected releases of pre-Y2K media restorations by different companies (particularly in JP itself) with no word of what may or may not be coming next. It's by no means an abnormal th...

Re: AB Video to release original Dragon Ball on Blu-Ray
AB also has a history of communicating nothing. Fine, but 14 months? What are they doing over there? Even with Level 1.1, Level 1.2 came out the following month. And they even had dates for 2.1 and 2.2 before they ultimately got the axe. Granted, I'm not even asserting that AB should be that effici...

Re: The Ultimate Uncut Special Edition - The Faux Saban Dub
Yeah I'm not sure I buy that they were trying to trick fans. By 2005 the US had the Texas cast for the vast majority of the series. Part of the reason for the redub was to make those episodes more consistent with the rest, and also to hype up the re-release as a new experience. I'm mixed on Nathon ...

Re: The Ultimate Uncut Special Edition - The Faux Saban Dub
Funimation was pretty straight forward that they were releasing these episodes with their in-house cast. I believe they even went as far as saying "The voices fans know and love" They weren't trying to trick anyone into thinking it would be an uncut version of the Ocean dub with the Ocean...

The Ultimate Uncut Special Edition - The Faux Saban Dub
Here's something I never see anyone bring up or discuss. When Pioneer's contract with FUNimation completely expired and FUNimation was free to release 'that' portion of Dragon Ball Z uncut, their marketing for it was... interesting to say the least. [APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE FOR THE INTERLACING IN THE V...

Re: AB Video to release original Dragon Ball on Blu-Ray
They used the broadcast audio without permission? Can you back that up? It's true. I didn't draw attention to it in the video on purpose, but they straight up just grabbed a group's version off of a piracy website that was pre-synced and had all the issues patched out. It's completely 1:1. Ballsy m...

Re: What are your favourite logos for the series?
The manga logo (which was also used in things like the French dub and the Blue Water Studios English dub of the OG series) is the clear cut winner. The Dragon Ball Z logo shown in the Japanese version is a close second, and the Japanese GT logo being the 3rd. All the others, are kind of hackneyed if...

Bumping this thread in the hopes that a new crop of users seeing this (where they otherwise wouldn't, most likely) might turn into something real. Re: Where is the most likely and/or most preferable place for Ocean's Dragon Ball Kai to be seen (in your view)?
I may not be Canadian but I think CTV's streaming service could be a good choice to air it. https://www.ctv.ca/shows And Kai won't be the only anime that streamed there, since they have already streamed stuff like Astroboy (2003) and the Marvel Anime Anthology. If anybody wants to try and send an e...

Where is the most likely and/or most preferable place for Ocean's Dragon Ball Kai to be seen (in your view)?
I only start a new thread regarding this topic surrounding this particular dub in spite of a thread surrounding Ocean Kai in general already existing, still being relevant after 13 years (almost), with over 7,000 posts and over 1,000,000 (OVER A MILLYON!?) views. However, I feel as though that threa...

Okay, couple of disclaimers before I begin. I'm aware that this may be the improper forum to ask for what I'm going to ask, so I hope this thread doesn't get locked or anything, lol. I may be asking for something beyond the scope of what you can do, but again, why not try? Are you at all capable of ...

Re: Where did the misconception that AB Groupe produced the Westwood and Blue Water dubs come from?
I cannot contribute much to the inherent train of thought, especially since its easily to look back and scoff because a lot of us know better now, but I do think that AB's logo appearing at the end of certain UK/European broadcasts may have had something to do with it.

Re: When did YTV (Which aired Dragon Ball) stop airing anime entirely?
Asking something as broad as "When did YTV stop airing anime entirely?" is a very loaded question. As others have stated there have been a Beyblade adaption here or the continuing seasons of Pokémon there, but I don't necessarily count those as it pertains to your question, since Corus' mo...
