I've come to [usually] prefer the manga, but I still love the anime and think it's great. Love the seiyuu, animation style, and hell, I even like most of the filler.

I was blown away when I saw it, and it has become one of my favorite amvs.

I can't think of anything about it I didn't like ... I especially loved the Goku/Vegeta face-off, 50 seconds in.

When Gohan screamed over Piccolo's death in the Saiyan saga (Japanese version).

I hadn't expected it to be so loud, and raw... @_@ Shocked the hell out of me.

No, I'll never stop liking DBZ. I've loved it ever since I first saw it back in '98, and I'm kind of like, its #1 fan. . . ^_~;;

I'll especially never get tired of the manga, and while I watch/read plenty of of other anime/manga series, DB will just always be my favorite.

I love the manga best, but of the dub or sub, I like the sub way better. I'd actually gotten into DBZ by the dub and didn't manage to see the Japanese version until 5 ...

Just go to Kinokuniya in NYC or elsewhere.

Sasuga Books doesn't carry a partial or complete set of the manga, and the one that Japanimation offers is sold out, so I was hoping there might be some other place that would be different.

The only places I know of that carry them are Sasuga Books, the Japanimation site, and occasionally Ebay.

Anyone know of any others?

Its simple really, the entire "anime community" has become anti-DBZ really, and basically anti-every anime intended for kids. Its a sad era we live in today...

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that was a filler scene. And if it was, it's just another one that made Vegeta look like even more of a cruel asshole.

My most sinister moment is when Freeza was first beginning to beat up Vegeta, and ...

1. the whole Human/Saiyan conflict, esp. the Goku/Vegeta part

yep, Dragonball sure did have a lot of shifting art styles... ... the inconsistency was quite distracting, but that's still one of the things I love about DB/Z's animation style. It was always evolving, and ended up looking completely different from its early days.
Plus I just like that old timeless ...

Anywho, does anyone else feel that, while entertaining and exciting at some points, that Dragonball is an "entry level" anime for those new to the concept of japanese anime?
