I've come to [usually] prefer the manga, but I still love the anime and think it's great. Love the seiyuu, animation style, and hell, I even like most of the filler.

Ooh, I like!

I was blown away when I saw it, and it has become one of my favorite amvs.

I can't think of anything about it I didn't like ... I especially loved the Goku/Vegeta face-off, 50 seconds in. 8)

When Gohan screamed over Piccolo's death in the Saiyan saga (Japanese version).

I hadn't expected it to be so loud, and raw... @_@ Shocked the hell out of me.

No, I'll never stop liking DBZ. I've loved it ever since I first saw it back in '98, and I'm kind of like, its #1 fan. . . ^_~;; I'll especially never get tired of the manga, and while I watch/read plenty of of other anime/manga series, DB will just always be my favorite. I really hate being in such...

I just have one thing to say:
Alias wrote:As for the original topic. I think Goku is stronger than just about any fiction character that has ever existed, or at least that I've seen.
Nah, Vegeto is stronger than Goku. = P I'm pretty sure he's the strongest SOB there ever was in anime/manga.

I would've replied earlier, but I've just come back to this place... so I'm sorry for the bump! I need to come here more... --- I love the manga best, but of the dub or sub, I like the sub way better. I'd actually gotten into DBZ by the dub and didn't manage to see the Japanese version until 5...

Just go to Kinokuniya in NYC or elsewhere. If only I lived anywhere near one of them... Indeed you can; it's how I got all 34 volumes of the re-released manga (plus the guidebooks and such). You've got to find the "Amazon.co.jp in English" link and then set up an account (rememberin...

well, I was just curious if there were any other stores that carried them. >< Sasuga Books doesn't carry a partial or complete set of the manga, and the one that Japanimation offers is sold out, so I was hoping there might be some other place that would be different. *shrug* As for that Amazon place...

Where to buy Japanese version of DB manga?

The only places I know of that carry them are Sasuga Books, the Japanimation site, and occasionally Ebay.

Anyone know of any others?

Its simple really, the entire "anime community" has become anti-DBZ really, and basically anti-every anime intended for kids. Its a sad era we live in today... w3rd. Kodoshin: That review you linked to.... oh my eyes. :x That Bamboo Dong guy seems like an ass.... people like him annoy the...

Has DBZ EVER gotten a good review score?

well, I mean, have any of you ever seen it get a good score on an anime review site or something? One that was actually written with intelligence and was well-supported? I've only seen a few, maybe 3 or 4. All I ever see is the same crap said over and over again, the like of which I'm sure yall are ...

The Arlia part is filler but since no distinction was made about whether to refer to the anime or manga, I threw it in. oh, okay then. ^^ Anyway, I got another sinister moment. Also in the Freeza saga, when Freeza form 2 was chasing Krillin through that mountain and just kept appearing in front of ...

destroying Arlia right after the poor citizens were emancipated I'm not 100% sure, but I think that was a filler scene. And if it was, it's just another one that made Vegeta look like even more of a cruel asshole. My most sinister moment is when Freeza was first beginning to beat up Vegeta, and rig...

yep, Dragonball sure did have a lot of shifting art styles... ... the inconsistency was quite distracting, but that's still one of the things I love about DB/Z's animation style. It was always evolving, and ended up looking completely different from its early days. Plus I just like that old timeless...

oh, the difficulty of this task... But if I had to pick just one moment, I think I'd say the entire Krillin/Bacterian fight in Dragonball. Anywho, does anyone else feel that, while entertaining and exciting at some points, that Dragonball is an "entry level" anime for those new to the concept of japanese anime? Not to sound condescending of a good anime in my taste, but it certainly is not Hellsing or Evangelion. What do you...

Those two ogres from Hell were just filler, right? Grand Kai? Yep, and to add onto what's already been said, there's also Maron from the Garlic Jr. saga, Lime from a filler episode set right before the Cell Games, and this one young girl and her brother from one episode in the Cell saga that Krilli...
