I rented a copy from rogers video when it first came out and played it on my ps2 the disk was in the same shape that you described and my copy craped out at the same place it is possable that there was some kind of defect with the early copys of the game i bought a copy some time later and it works ...

I read on the past archive of ask DaizenshuuEx that there is a crazy tapion Remix that had been put up but that link is down I would really like to hear it if anyone could help me out I would be vary thankfull
