Ah, character bashing. For me, I think character bashing is fine in the context of comedy, but when done in serious fanfics it just seems a bit, well, mean. It seems stupid when it's used as the justification for the main pairing in a fic, i.e. Vegeta and Bulma belong together because Yamcha=Hitler ...

Pity. I'd have liked more interaction with Bulma's parents and Vegeta during the series. There's plenty of room for comic mischief there.

Concerning Trunks' conception, according to future Trunks' explanation, Bulma wasn't the lonely one, Vegeta was. Bulma was just angry at Yamcha. So, yeah, it was Bulma who took advantage of the lonely Vegeta....he must have felt so violated :wink:

I'm pretty sure it's number 1. That's what I've gathered from all the info sites I've been to. Even if it was situation 2, it would just be basic ideas, and the crappy-ness would be from Toei's interpretation of them and the exclusion of the other characters.

I'd go with DaySpring and James on this one. He has no reason to blow up Earth or leave. So he stays as he has training facilities, food, and he is learning to love Bulma.
