My only dissapointment is his lv3 seemly not triggering a destructive finish on kill.
I'm not sure how that even works. I've hit level 3's or 5's on people who basically had no health, so major overkill, and not had it trigger a destructive finish/arena explosion.

Re: The strongest Goku that Hercule can defeat.

Maybe I'm just ignorant to some guidebook out there somewhere, but has Mr. Satan's actual abilities every been actually quantified?

The dude won the Tenkaichi Budokai and while I understand he can't use Ki, it seems ridiculous that he's not even on the level of say, Nam.

Trans people are murdered for being trans and it's actually legal, so please don't saying we know nothing about oppression. I just spent two weeks in the south--two thousand miles from home--having to pretend to be cishet so that I didn't get assaulted, raped or sodomized for using the woman's rest...

Gogeta looks like he will be super fun to play as. His move set is phenomenal. When he was announced for the game I really wanted his level 3 to 5 to be exactly what it ended up being so I am not disappointed.

Was it a 64p video?
Probably 1p lol. I have no idea. This was in an age before anyone in the general public even knew what 1080p and so on meant.

The clip was very low quality and pixelated. Almost looked black and white.

Dragon Ball Fan since the mid nineties checking in. I can honestly say I don't recall anyone giving a damn about Over 9000 before the youtube clip went viral.

Re: DBGT: General Designs/Visuals & Music Opinions

most last house episodes really aren't that bad till the cell arc, i think after the piccolo vs #17 episodes is where last house episodes start getting noticeably worst and then after the trunks vs cell fight is where it gets distractingly bad. yeah it was never really complex and rarely fluid, but...

Re: You watched DBZ before DB and certain characters didn't make sense

I don't recall being confused, but I definitely made up a lot of my own head canon to fill in the blanks. The first Dragon Ball thing I can clearly remember seeing was a random episode of the Ocean Dub Vegeta Vs Goku fight or a fansub of movie 12 or 13 (loaned to me by a friend of mine who had Drago...

Re: Vegeta's Assist in the defeat of Cell Manga vs Anime

Anime completely ruined entire scene. In manga Vegeta was the only one to help and it made sense for Piccolo to say that he did a brave thing. In anime not only it didn't make any sense but also they made Vegeta look like a coward since he was the ONLY one who didn't help until the very end. I thin...

Vegeta's Assist in the defeat of Cell Manga vs Anime

I've always felt that Vegeta's assist in the defeat of Cell was more meaningful in the Manga since he is the only one who steps in to help Gohan, while in the anime the other Z Senshi try and fail. Vegeta being the only one to try to help is a huge turning point for his character and is when I feel ...

Re: What parts of the franchise evoke nostalgia for you?

the first opening animation for the original dragon ball always gets me, the opening shot always makes me feel comfy, as does makafushigi adventure 100% agreed. Also watching anything from the Ocean Dub, or old crappy fansubs. My first exposure to the series was a fan sub a friend lent me. It might...

Re: How was FUNimation able to afford all that licensed band music back in the day?

I don't know how, but I have often wondered why. If anything the lack of the original music severally hurt the English dubs of the movies in my mind and I would just flat out not watch them.

Ok. I didn't think it was appropriate to pry into your personal life in a public discussion so I'll just end it here. Don't live in fear. Go out and be you. I'm not sure where you live but you should not be concerned with going to a public restroom unless you are frequenting shady places or somethi...

Re: Petition to use SS, not SSJ, as an abbreviation for Super Saiyan

Speaking of dubisms. I'm sure the vast majority of English speaking fans, including myself, say "Say Yan" and not "Sai Yan". I say Ka May Ha May Ha, but I still hear people saying Kamayah mayah.

Funny enough, I say "say yan" but also "Sai ya Jin" sometimes.

Re: So how does one *correctly* hug their fans?

The internet is wonderful. It gave me the courage I needed to hatch, transition, explore my sexuality and move to the left. Without it I never would have met true friends, grown as a thinker or fallen in love. The problem is that we need more good speech, not to cut the cord. That will just isolate...
