I wonder, is it worth waiting for the potential price drop or should we get these ASAP? I'm not really sure tbh, because I'm certain that there will be a lot of people buying numerous Dragon Boxes to re-sell but than Funimation will probably release them initially for a higher price.

I agree on preferring the original. The new one is far too "shiny." As for the question, of course they'd use the original. It's the Dragon Box, so I doubt they'd do any tampering with the video (aside from the whole region-release brightness thing).

They make you wonder if the Anime version just blindly followed along with what was drawn without thinking about it.

There's obviously some thought that goes into it, but apparently not enough to prevent them from making entirely new mistakes.

I voted for a Dragon Ball Dragon Box. I voted twice since I used 2 different laptops. I also placed DBGT as second best after Dragon Ball, in hope of it also getting released sometime down the road.

If Funi eventually release DBGT Dragon Box, do you think they will still use their redesigned logo or the original one?

Yeah, I bought my Dbox 3 when it first came out and it also has that Ginyu and Jheese image as well. Until now, I wasn't sure if it was just my copy that was like that.

Blame voice direction as well. If the directors wanted something other than grunts they'd ask for them. Also, grunting noises are often used in favor of the "kccch" noises you hear in the original Japanese versions anyway.

Well, hopefully they will keep it in one box and with all the same artwork, except having the box smaller of course. If they need more discs for the TV specials (if they are going to release them in the Dbox movies that is), then they can always add an extra disc in each DVD book.

I think Funimation will eventually. They sure are rushing these upcoming movie sets.

It probably has something to do with the fact there contract with toei is coming up for renewal in a couple of years and they went to get these out the way before they do one last ...

You're right that it is the director's decision, however, I just feel that Schemmel is adding to it as well since in 'Lucario and the Mystery of Mew', he was grunting the most out of all the other characters. Maybe since he got used to it on Dbz that he carried it over to other roles.

I'm positive they will start to release it anywhere from March to November of this coming year. Why as late as November? While I'm hoping they announce DB/GT Boxes during the summer, they could instead announce the Movies during that period, and thus, a fall release.

I'm not saying he bad or anything, he has improved greatly since he started in season 3 of Dbz. I just feel the grunting is sometimes over the top. It just sticks out to me while watching. He did the same while playing Lucario in the Pokemon movie, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

Is there a reason why Sean grunts so much while playing Goku? It seems too excessive and is just one of the reasons I prefer watching Dragon Ball Z subbed. I mean, just look at episode 72 of Kai. He is grunting while putting on his belt and wrist bands... Seems a little off putting.

I've always heard all good things come by waiting lol :lol: But in my Opinion I would say Funimation will release it, But when is the question?
