Yeah! Break! Care Break! I just hope they do multiple OP/ED's this time. I know I was getting pretty tired of Zenkai Power by the Cell arc in DBZ. But on a more serious note, I'm insanely excited to see what they're going to end up doing with the series, whether it be for better or for worse. ...

Did this ever actually air in Canada in any way, shape, or form? I somehow doubt it. Not sure what song you're thinking of, but this is the one that aired in Canada... (It's put to video game animation, but this is the song) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rq0Kf-WM3WY We also got "Rock the Drag...

That's a typo on the Japanese page. Should be Lum's Love Song (Urusei Yatsura).
5) Love Score (?)
Love Squall (Lupin III)

And goddammit, now I have to buy these CDs. Amazing track listing right there.

...long post... I read your entire post, and I've gotta say that I agree with just about everything you said. The only thing I disagree with is cutting references to demons and whatnot. They'd probably think it makes the movie more hardcore or something, and would win over the casual kid viewers wi...

The strange thing is, if they changed the English dub voice to a man, I don't think I'd like it. I just can't picture English Freeza being masculine. I kind of think of him as a woman in the dub now. Here's a question: How old is Frieza supposed to be anyway? Older than Goku or younger? Much older. ...

You're thinking of Trunks, not Gohan. Nah, I was thinking of Gohan. The way he's drawn, he appears younger than he was at the beginning of Z. -Corey I always just assumed that was 4-year-old Gohan, but I see what you mean. My bad. ...That's TOO cute for words. Bleh, why isn't that on my DVD!? Thank...

I think the only time Gohan was ever actually shown as a baby was that pre-Cell Game filler episode with the flashbacks. And the Trunks Special eyecatches ;p -Corey You're thinking of Trunks, not Gohan. Can we get some screen caps? They're not on the R1 DVD. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v326/k...

Re: Shonen Jump Article about FUNimations Seaons Sets...

According to FUNimation, when the show was first broadcast on TV, all four sides were cropped to avoid showing the edges of the actuall frames, as they were often damaged or imperfect. Nice spin. The zoom on the broadcast master has absolutely nothing to do with the final aspect ratio. Mike i...

Okay, so they can't get the cels. But is it possible to convert the film prints to a different type of film that has no grain? I think you're a little confused, man. Copying the film to another source doesn't make the grain go away. The grain is on the film, but so is the image, so when you transfe...

If anything, it further proves that anime conventions are becoming less and less about celebrating our shared love of Japanese culture (including its animation), but are instead becoming a celebration of internet culture using anime as a faux-backdrop just to initiate the gathering. This is such a ...

What he says is "Usunoro" 「ウスノロ」 or 「薄のろ」. I'd probably translate it as something like "dumbass", but "retard" is also appropriate, especially considering the extreme reaction. Just to clarify, the dictionary translates it as "half-wit; fool; simpleton". (For ...

Thanks, but I did check Kanzentai already and they're too small. You can click on the images to make them a little bigger, but it's probably still way too small. Unfortunately, we don't actually own those DVDs, so we can't just scan them in. You'll probably have to find somebody with the disks and ...

Well, I would preffer absolute numbers. That would correclty say wich DB Saga was the most famous. What do you mean? You want all the numbers? I know, this is just one perspective, but it gives a good idea of the series' following during it's original run. While I agree that there are many ways to view DragonBall's "peak", something like a popularity vote is too subjective, especially after being able to review the series for up ...
