Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

I'm so tired of the comparison to FighterZ as a knock against this game. I've basically been tired of that outlook being taken since this game was announced. From the get go, people have been comparing it to FighterZ and basically making it clear that anything that doesn't look, sound, and feel lik...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

Are they going to make DLC to cover the Z movies? They announced early on that they won’t. But that may change. I'd love it if they did eventually, especially with what I'm hearing with that level cap being so insanely high. Getting more big boss fights via the movie villains would be a fun way to ...

A new free update is on the way apparently , and we now know what Trunks' time machine will be for - you can use it to go back in time to the different arcs and do any sub-quests you may have missed. Also, we're getting a new sub quest WITH ARALE. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EO0EVtXWoAMRCXM?format=...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

Any news on the level cap? I’m looking to max everyone It's 255. Good luck with that adventure though because the secret boss and Bonryu's Advanced training top out at lv100. You're going to have a LOT of grinding to do. Holy crap, that's a high and...really random number. Wonder if they're leaving...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

The wish to revive bosses is interesting because there will be unique dialogs depending on when you revive them. For example, resurrected Frieza will have a unique interaction with Boo Saga Goku, because he never had the opportunity to see a level above the SSJ (in this case, this Goku has the SSJ3...

Re: Brice Armstrong (Captain Ginyu, Lord Slug) passed away

I knew this day would be coming eventually, but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with. He was an amazing voice actor (and from what I've been told, a really nice guy to boot), and I've missed hearing his voice ever since he retired. As has already been said, he lived a long life though, and c...

The wishes are Revive bosses, get tons of orbs, get tons of ze I, or get rare presents for the community board Thanks. I like the boss revival wish, I guess I'll know how to feel about the rest of the wishes when I know what I can actually do with them. The wish to revive bosses is interesting beca...

Honestly I don't really like the Hero Coliseum because it's just a cheaper version of Heroes. And in that case, just go play Heroes. To me, all the Coliseum was was a way to trick players into paying for TP Medals instead of grinding for them. Agreed. Though, at least based on World Mission, I'd ca...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

So, the Season Pass is up for purchase at last on PSN, and it lists 'two original episodes, and a new story'. Only time will tell of course, but I have two different theories on for how this could go. 1) The two original episodes are essentially the Bardock and Trunks TV specials. Bardock's episode ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

As far as Bardock and End of Z goes - There's been that listing of 'additional scenarios' coming via a Season Pass at some point, so I wouldn't be too surprised to see if there were at least three or so of them, one being Bardock, one being Future Trunks, and one being the End of Z. Especially since...

Maybe it's just me, but I don't really get how the Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta V.S. Baby one is...even a shot at Super in any way either. There's no punchline. Not even a bad one, there's legitimately no shot fired, at all. It's just banter between the two characters - almost literally the same back-an...

So, we have the Vegeta trailer/Launch Trailer as it's called on Bandai Namco's Europe account (set to 'We Were Angels'): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2SnInDLDCQ And if anyone's interested, the same trailer's also available in Japanese with subtitles featuring Horikawa's voice-over, though it se...

Having MIra in there is a bit of a surprise, it'll be interesting to see how that works. I'm happy to finally have a trophy list though, and it sounds pretty doable. I'm going to be Platinum-ing the hell out of this one.

So the new Japanese seiyuu for Hercule/Mr Satan is the one who voices Might Guy from Naruto.

Holy crap, I completely forgot we lost Unsho Ishizuka last year. It didn't even occur to me that we'd be getting another new Mr. Satan soon.

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

Something just occurred to me earlier today - have they not announced who's voicing Bonyu? It's not strange that we don't have a dub actor yet, but don't they usually announce seiyuu for new characters like this prior to the release?

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

There's no way to know for sure of course, but I'm banking on the trailer alone being done this way to evoke nostalgia, in a similar way to that Japanese trailer that showcased a boy's memories of watching the show as a child. It's not quite the same in terms of effectiveness, but I think that's wh...

The reliance on Kyle Herbert and that hope of the universe reference scare me. Hope the English script won't be early Funi garbage for nostalgia sake. What clips have that? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7tHk88bP-g&feature=push-u-sub&attr_tag=4U_-4gYGekLv6Sxy%3A6 It's just on the trailer so far. ...

I feel like if you went back in time and killed anyone or anything you'd end up shattering the space-time continuum. So yeah, don't do time travel kids. With the way people act nowadays, I fear that's exactly what we'd get with actual time travel, at least ifit somehow became common-place enough fo...

Re: Interesting or funny pictures thread

Yeah, I'd say that one of Trunks killing Toriyama has to be one of the most bad taste things I've ever seen here, and that's saying something. That's not humor. That's just sadism.
