Re: How would you feel if the erased universes/fighters are NOT brought back?
No one ever dies in One Piece and that series doesn't suffer for it. There are other ways to create stakes then death. I would be really depressed if no one came back.

"Everything that is not like Z isnt as Good as Z.oh NOW its like Z, now its good" - guys :? getting tired of it.Super has a totaly different focus on Story then Z If an episode is more storytelling/comedy than action some will complaining it is to childish or has less action... I am not t...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
It was just hard to take Frieza seriously as a villain at this point without much build up. It's hard to take any threat seriously when you have someone like Beerus and Whis on the heroes' side 24/7 but unlike the movie Freeza was equal to Goku's base in his 4th form and completely dominated SsjB G...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
For a 2016 anime, Dragon Ball Super looks extremely average. Even if Super fixes the animation we still have to deal with the Toei writing. I highly recommend that people who are defending Super Goku should read the manga. It's hard to believe that it's part of the same franchise that was known and...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
They should have the best animators and writers on a show that has the potential to be the biggest and the most profitable. The best is completely out of the question considering we can't even get anything acceptable. Anything outside of fights is definitely acceptable. Even the fights are most of ...

Re: Will there finally be a tense arc?
Who cares if Dragonball Super is different???? let it be different  Dragonball classic was different than Dragonball Z and so is Dragonball Super nothing wrong with that it is called Super and not Z it must be different and just becuase some don't like changes that doesn't mean other fans are...

Re: Will there finally be a tense arc?
It wouldn't be a problem if the shift wasn't that big but it goes from one extreme to the other. One minute it's all serious and Black is killing everyone, the next it's back to the usual gags and everyone acting stupid. Yeah the consistency is horrible. It's like the writers are also complete amat...

Re: DBZ vs DBS - Animation [Comparing Objectively]
True but that's all Toei's fault and i feel like you can't blame fans who don't understand the how the production works because most modern anime shows blow away what Super has to offer in terms of fight choreographs and nice animation even for a running series like Naruto and you would think a fra...

Re: Comparing Sumitomo's soundtracks
When looking at the staff of some jdrama I noticed Sumitomo's name as the man behind the music. His work on jdrama is actually really, really good. The music he created for the Jdrama Date is fantastic. Give the man time and enough money and he can do so much better.

Or it may be a case like Pokemon Adventure where the manga in book form has more pages than it had in serialization.

But doesn't OLM, inc have the same problems? One would think Nintendo has some kind of control.
And like Toei, OLM has many more anime they are working on righf now.

Re: Episode #0393 (24 January 2016)
I see absolutely nothing wrong with a 'generic harem anime' having better animation than Dragon Ball , especially in an industry when many projects are merely labors of love. You can't buy love in an industry with no money. I thought the people working on Super also really loved the series. For som...

Re: Episode #0393 (24 January 2016)
You certainly made a good point in the cast about how naturally (and something unreasonably) fans expect more. I found myself flicking through the 30th Anniversary book, thinking about how a series with so much history could be treated so poorly. Maybe that's my issue, I don't know. You are not the...

Re: Anybody already stopped watching Super?
Sailor Moon was a streaming anime and Digimon had decent animation. It wasn't anything special but it wasn't bad either. The fights were really well done.Hellspawn28 wrote:After Sailor Moon Crystal and Digimon Xtro Wars, was anyone expecting Super to have good animation?

Did anybody actually liked the god transformation in super? It took way to long and Tarble wasn't even mentioned.

Re: Which studio would be perfect for dbs?
Bleach So fantastic it got cancelled prematurely. Naruto This one also had to get rebooted as Naruto Shippuden after almost a 100 episodes worth of filler hell and even Shippuden still has some shit filler. Both aren't fair arguments. The Bleach anime did the best it could with the source material....

Re: Which studio would be perfect for dbs?
At this point I think even Studio Pierrot would make a better job than Toei. I'm no animation expert but the original Naruto series was one the best animated battle shounen series I have ever seen. The same can't be said about Shippuden though, quite the opposite. Studio Pierrot shows absolutely no...

Re: Share your thoughts on Super as the year comes to a clos
The stars are lining up for another Star Wars prequel-like mediocre revival bound to disappoint many fans. Perhaps in another decade we'll get a revival that does things right just like The Force Awakens. Super is already like the Force Awakens, its a mediocre retread of shit that was done better b...

Re: Which studio would be perfect for dbs?
Those screens doesn't look that bad. Also, Jeeg was made nearly 10 years ago. A lot has changed in those 10 years. I wouldn't be that afraid of new voice actors. Hayate has changed studios 3 times and kept the same voice cast. However, Toei replaced the complete Digimon cast for Adventure 3 for no g...
