Re: If characters from Dragon Ball appeared as Guest Characters in Mortal Kombat or Injustice

Dragon Ball's a bit too childish for Mortal Kombat, unfortunately. It never really indulged in that over the top ultraviolence outside of a few choice moments because, even though this was 80s Japan, it was still made for little kids. It's like Sonic the Hedgehog and the Mario cast appearing in a T...

Re: Which games are the most "shovelware?"

Would the first Budokai be considered shovelware? All the Dimps fighters the characters move the same way in a fight, but at least Budokai 2 forward there was some depth in each release, with yes, Budokai 3 being considered the best for quite awhile. But Budokai 1 felt lazy as hell. Not even close....

Dragon Ball Z Taiketsu and Sagas are the purest forms of soulless cash-grabs.

Re: Anyone else think BT2 had one of the worst story modes of any of these games?

Dragon Adventure definitely didn't age well. I liked it just fine as a kid once you have a lot of time on your hands at that age but as an adult, it's a chore to deal with because pretty much all you do is fight and there's A LOT of fighting. Pretty much it's a watered-down version of Dragon Univers...

Re: The original DB Manga and anime adaptations don’t reflect their era much

A lot of the fashion, references, and tech is reflective of its era. The art/animation often looks like it came from 80's/90's.

Re: Is InuYasha A Shojo Dragon Ball?

Sailor Moon has more in common with Dragon Ball than Inuyasha and even calling that "Shoujo Dragon Ball" is a stretch. It's way closer to a Shoujo Saint Seiya. But yeah, Inuyasha is 100% a Shonen series. Look at Osamu Tezuka, he wrote several Shoujo works during his life, like Princess Knight, Twin...

Re: Semi Perfect Cell is Underrated

I like where Toriyama was going with his design. Semi-Perfect Cell is a unique cross between a humanoid and bug creature. I also agree this form was severely underused. Apart from his first appearance, all he did was blow some islands and get his ass kicked. One thing I liked is that while he was a ...

It's just an empty insult used by FUNi DBZ fanboys who don't want to admit their old precious dub objectively isn't good.

Nostalgia is a powerful thing but it doesn't make or break a product. You can recognize the merits or flaws with or without nostalgia.

The "Z-Warriors" refer to Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu. The all composing team is "Dragon Team".

Watch it while drunk and high. :P

But seriously, the singles and Green bricks are good if you really wanna watch and own GT. Maybe the FUNimation streaming service.

Re: What are people’s thoughts on how increasingly “normal” the world of Dragon Ball became?

The "extraordinary" martial artists weren't actively in the public eye like Mr. Satan. Likewise, the old Tenkaichi Budokai were more of an underground event that was done for tradition and love for the sport. The fighters in the new Tenkaichi Budokai aren't real martial artists but rather celebritie...

Re: What characters do you think they can add for FighterZ 2?

This game already has all the characters that we need and some, so I think Season 3 will be our last line of DLC. On top of that, one of the three remaining is already pretty much confirmed via datamine ( Omega Shenron ) while the other two are no-brainers ( Master Roshi and Pikkon ). Now what can ...

Re: Why wasn’t there a proper theatrical Dragon Ball film back in the day?

Before Battle of Gods, none of the DB movies were meant to be major releases but rather retreats from the main story. That's why they're barely an hour long.

FUNimation also couldn't afford to put them in theaters.
