Re: Where's Kageyama?

Maybe he's just busy? After all, he's been touring a lot with JAM Project this year, amongst other things. I also get the impression that Toei and co. are trying to go in a new direction musically (you know, to go along with their attempts to attract a new, younger audience). So I don't think it's a...

Re: What was your first Dragon Ball DVD?

Let that child alone! - It was the Big Green version of DBZ Movie 3: " Super Battle in the World" . But the first Dragon Ball DVD that I watched was my childhood best friend's copy of Movie 4 " Super Saiya Son Goku " which introduced me to the Big Green dub. I remember before I ...

Re: The first time that you watched the Japanese version?

In 2000 I got an imported version of Dragon Ball Final Bout, which (I think) served as my introduction to the Japanese version. It was either that or the many video clips that I downloaded, back then. Either way, they happened around the same time. But I guess my true introduction was later on when ...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions

I think GT is good. Out of 64 episodes I've narrowed it down to around 26 episodes that I think are solid, well paced episodes with good plot, fighting and great animation for the most part. I won't name each and every one but I think they're up there with any of the good filler from the previous 2 ...

Re: ZARD Streaming All Day!

Maaan, my posts in this thread have been ultimately pointless haha! But yeah, I agree. It's cool that it's getting released, hopefully the sound quality with be better than how it sounds in GT. The Akihito Tokunaga thing was such a surprise to me that I thought I'd share it- I've never been ab...

Re: ZARD Streaming All Day!

That's really interesting! In any articles or discography listings I've read there's never been mention of the songs being covers, so until now I had suspected she /they had never done any outside of the songs Izumi Sakai wrote. Mustn't be reading the in the best places :P I like hearing "new&q...

Re: ZARD Streaming All Day!

Akihito Tokunaga composed and arranged a few of ZARD's songs. Oh cool, I wasn't aware of that! I knew that Sakai hadn't arranged all of ZARD's tracks but I never actually knew who else had contributed until I read about Tokunaga/Shadows Of Quadrophenia the other day. I wasn't aware of the fact it w...

Re: ZARD Streaming All Day!

Dang it, I missed it too! I really wanna get the album collection, it's £214.99 ($330.75) on YesAsia with free postage- which is a price I could afford but I really cannot be bothered with paying VAT & customs duty on it though, so I'm really split. :( I wonder if the GT version of "Don't Y...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.

I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but since it's an ongoing Ocean-dub related topic I think it would make sense to just throw it in here instead of starting a new thread just for this one thing (despite it not being directly related to Kai ). It's an interview with Peter Kelamis ,...

Re: New Dragon Ball series.

Seriously...?!! They've gone this far?! Wow. I was honestly surprised that no one pointed out that it's just footage from Ultimate Tenkaichi, well until I tried to comment myself that is. The guy/gal who uploaded it has set it so that they must approve of the comments before they're posted, I guess...

Huh, guess I was right about Steve Austin's entrance music then... (I questioned if it would be the next wrestling theme to make an appearance). Anywho, I loved Dorodabo and Piccolo's scenes!

Re: IGN review of Ultimate Tenkaichi:

I tried to tell people in the comments that it's pronounced "Ten-ka-ichi" not "Ten-kai-chi". Needless to say I was incorrectly "corrected" and told that my correction was incorrect- Yup. Anywho! I'm surprised at the rating being so high but I'd like to think it's based ...

Re: DBZ Coming to the UK? (Manga Ent. Says "NO!")

Well this is gonna mean even more people getting confused over the actual aspect ratio of the series, and what remastering should actually be like. Ugh. I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't have "Digitally Remastered" on the front cover, it's not as if there was a previous UK release of th...

Re: GT or Kai - Which is bigger dissapointment?

I do enjoy it but I'm going to have to go with Kai . As much as I love the old animation, I think Kai should have been new animation from the get go- and who honestly doesn't? Kai only going up to the Cell saga was somewhat disappointing but I'm not gonna cry myself to sleep over it. The best thing ...

Re: Dragon Ball and Pro-Wrestling

I've just remembered another character, it's "Anton The Great" from Dragon Ball Episode 085. He has a match in the preliminaries of the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai against Kuririn, and Yamcha flat out says that the guy is a Pro-Wrestler. Given the size of Anton and his wild curly hair, I'm sure...

Re: Dragon Ball and Pro-Wrestling

I've been meaning to post this for a while but I've been waiting for the perfect place and here it is! I'm convinced that Piroshiki is a parody of Big Van Vader. Take a look at these two images: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101001163852/prowrestling/images/f/fe/Vader.jpg Compared to: http...

Re: Disc Error on Dragon Box Z Volume 4

It looks like I either have a bad copy or it's only a select few then- since you say Time Traveller that a few people said that they had a problem there. I wasn't sure whether or not it would be like it was with the error that was on one of the discs of Season 9 of the Orange brick sets- where it wa...

Disc Error on Dragon Box Z Volume 4

Hey, it's been a long time since I've started a topic and since my parents will not listen to me I thought I'd vent my frustration by asking if anyone else has had the same problem as me with the Dragon Box Z Volume 4 Set. The problem is on Disc 22, during episode 151 "One Final Remaining Hope....

In my wildest dreams, and boy they can be wild, I would never have imagined anything would come of Yamamoto's plagiarism afterall he has been doing it for so long now. I have just this moment bought Z Kai Part Four just incase the American DVDs do end up being recalled because I want to own all that...
