Somewhere around 1997-98, I was 7-8, they started airing DBZ on Cartoon Network (European). I remember being very excited about it, somehow I already knew DBZ was awesome. It was like a marathon, 5 episodes I think, then the other day the channel switched to Fox Kids and never switched back. 4 years ...

Well he never really became a protagonist, he just... adapted

It doesn't suck it's just different. Most people seem to hate it Just because, and then think of reasons if they have to. GT is pretty fun on it's own.
