Fair enough, I understand where you are coming from, but I don't agree. I don't want to waste posts fighting about it and I'm sure you don't either.

If you have anything more to say about the matter, feel free to pm me.

Yeah its just viz stuffing around with the original manga like always. It really ruins it for me, as I am a perfectionist (with Dragonball only) and I must have everything perfect and original. So now that Viz have edited and changed the original manga (not including standard translation) I have to ...

The part where Gohan is about to be beaten by Cell, and Vegeta comes from nowhere and blasts him allowing Gohan to gain the upper hand is absolutely priceless in the Funimation dub. It captures the emotion of the entire ordeal in a way the Japanese version doesn't.

Well, I am Australian and I have a copy of the Saga Of Goku. The quality isn't bad at all. The way some of you describe it you make it out to be like some kind of 20 meg video clip you can download off bearshare. I wouldn't go as far as saying the quality is as good as a Dragonbox, but its still dvd...

I love the moment, when Cell appears on T.V and announces the Cell Games. Then he blows up the entire city. All the Z fighters were waiting for Cell to appear and he finally does and its like BOOM.

I'd have to agree that the 22nd Budokai had excellent fighting. The Yamucha vs Tenshinhan fight is probably my favourite fight of the entire series. An absolutely mind blowing experience.

I never understood why Bulma's hair is a different colour in the anime than in the manga. I mean the first few chapters of the manga were in colour so Toei can't say "Um, we didn't know what colour because it was black and white". Also not just colour, but characters like Piccolo and Cell ...

I think I am the only one who actually enjoyed the lies. Whilst I was a newcomer to the Dragonball world, the lies added a different dimension to the series and allowed my imagination to run wild with all sorts of possiblities. One lie I clearly remember was a friend telling me that there was a &quo...

I used to watch it at 8:00am on free to air tv. That was back in 2000 and it was the freeza saga. I only watched it because it was right before I went to school and I had nothing else to do. The station changed the timeslot and I didn't bother watching it again until Feb 2002. On the brink of the Bu...

I have to agree, "What's My Destiny" would have to be one of my favourite openings in any of the dubs.

Manga is what won me over. I remember way back when I read some Freeza saga ones years ago and I've been a fan ever since. Now if you were to show him an anime episode, I would show him a fight between SSJ3 Goku and Kid Buu and Vegeta admitted Goku was better than him. It had a lot of the Saiyan an...

Off the top of my head my favourite episode would have to be "DB 16 Lesson 1 - The search for a rock". Don't ask me why, its just Classic Dragonball at its best, no super fireballs and heat beams, just pure martial arts.

I'm one of the few people who was actually introduced to the Japanese version first, way back in 1994. My buddy's older brother had a friend who had hookups in Japan, and one day they were watching some episodes from the Cell Games. We all fell in love immediately. I got excited when I heard they w...

There are plenty of outside influences in Dragonball. They probably came out sub-consciously when Toriyama was writing/drawing. Other obvious things are Android 16 being like The Terminator, it was probably just added because Toriyama liked the series.

The Dragonball story is great, but as much as I would love to see a new series, I think it'd just leave me unfullfilled and would come off as cheap. We just have to accept that the series has ended and be happy that it ended with so many fans. You don't want it to end (as it almost did with gt) with...

Well I can't say for America, but in Australia I think the peak of DBZ was the Saiyaman saga up to english episode 222 Final Attonment, which was in around April 2002. In Australia (not sure in america) they reached this episode then restarted the entire series from the beginning without any warning...
