The only DB-related thing I'm selling at the moment is a bunch of gashapon; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 500wt_1182
If anyone on this board is interested, I'll be more than happy to find out shipping to their area.

Yep, located in Kyoto due to that being the home city of the Astro Boy creator, I believe. Quite a fun visit to do if you have the chance.
No, you're thinking of the Osamu Tezuka museum in Takarazuka, Hyouga. The Kyoto International Manga Museum is unrelated.
Ack, my mistake then. The Kyoto ...

When I was in Japan, pretty much everywhere in Tokyo's Akihabara (probably spelt wrong, but it's alternatively known as Nerd Town ;P) sold Dragon Ball merch. In fact, one of my enduring memories of my entire travelling around Japan experience was seeing Goku's mug a lot more than I expected - you ...

This is probably one of the most interesting things I've learnt about Dragon Ball since joining this forum - I take a particular interest in the animation styles and what not of the series. There was a similar topic to this a while back that provides a few examples of the same scene being redrawn ...

I actually found UB22 pretty much unplayable. I really wanted to enjoy it, but something about it made it an agonising chore to play. I also found it aesthetically offensive - those backgrounds were terrible and I don't think the cel-animation worked all that well either.

Yes, very much so. It is extremely easy and cheap to find in the UK, just check a second hand shop or eBay. Literally, it only costs a couple of quid on eBay.

So, is the reprint any different than the original? Did they just remove voices or something minor, I can't quite remember? Final Bout over here, along with Ultimate Battle 22, sells for literally pennies on eBay. I can't remember if it had any kind of voice acting or anything, however. I just ...

Funi did a pretty good job with it actually, I'm just not a huge fan of the guy's voice. I always quite liked the Ocean dub's intro, even if it changed the lyrics / lyrical structure rather significantly; http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-Kb3up4O5o4

Maybe make a series of like 15 minute specials that give certain characters more background. Like show some of Radditz' past. He must have been on another planet at the time of his planet's destruction, so maybe give us some stories there.

Or maybe one that shows how Yamucha becomes a desert ...

Well I'm proud to say that I finally own a Dragonball figurine...AND IT'S FROM JAPAN!!! As some of you may remember, I have a very limited collection of Dragonball "crap", and one of the things that I was craving most were some nice figures. Well, my Japanese neighbor just received a package from ...

It seems like Toriyama is still fond of DB because the last I read from him, he didn't seem to want to revisit the series
Well, it has beem a few years, so maybe he just finally warmed up to the idea of doing some more DragonBall. Or maybe it's just because with this special, all he has to do is ...

But to go back to the topic: I never really cared about the dub's goofs, mostly because it has sentimental value to me. I know the dub is flawed, but to me it holds as much nostalgia as the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles do to anyne who was born in the mid eighties. Unlike most people, I can actually ...

Ah, cheers for that, that's the best price I've seen so far. And here I was thinking I'd have to order it from America.
