I'm of the opinion that when a Saiyan trains hard in his 'normal' form, it would beef up his SSJ power.

The stronger your base level, the stronger your transformation will be. :)

Frankly, he needs to find some alternative hosting for all the content on the special 'Video's page' he drummed up. I'm fairly certain that he now realises how popular the site is!

I'm also damn sure that just about every member here has contributed to the exceeded bandwidth via that video page! :P

I think of it as 'Saotome-ryu'. :P That is pretty much the fighting style of most of the characters. They don't stick to a particular form of martial arts, they simply do what the situation calls for. I'm quite sure each person has a distinctive style (look at the differences in battle stances betwe...

You must show us the results. I think I'm quite safe in saying that all members on these boards are in agreement with me on this! I'm looking forward to seeing how this will turn out. Knowing your vivid imagination, I'm sure this will be quite something to see! :P (Of course, there is no pressure on...

Vegetto is the strongest. Otherwise, Mike would be known as GogetaEX. :P

I apologise for the lack of contribution to this subject... or should I even have to? I've a feeling I'd be required to apologise if I DID contribute something. Hmm.

As far as we know, there are no obvious difference in the effect they both have on the opponent. This is similar to the thread posted a while back to the positioning of Goku's hand during the KameHameHa. I assume Toriyama wanted to show differences in the styles of each person; Kuririn's own way of ...

Has anyone considered the technique might have been termed Double Sundae , rather than a day of the week? Given that Saiya-jin are obsessed with food, also their names are food-related; wouldn't that be a better technique for Raditz? Just an odd thought, but nevertheless it seems quite appropriate t...

That sounds promising, however it's as Announcer said; not much of a description at all. From what I can gather, the Daizenshuu's seem to leave a lot of things unsaid. Oh well, I suppose it's enough for me in any case. :P

Thanks for the scan, Ash. :)

If memory serves, Daizenshuu #7 offers some sort of explanation about Namek-go? I don't know this for sure, due to my sources being somewhat... unreliable. However I'd just like to ask for clarification on this matter? I'm willing to risk my pride on this. :/

Re: Huh?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freeza Freeza has the distinction of being the only Dragonball character specifically described as homosexual, in issue number 233 of the Japanese manga. In fact, according to creator, Akira Toriyama, Freeza was based on a stereotype of the effeminate but muscular homos...

I've read a lot of fanfics. (I know. >.>) and a few have references to Freeza's race as the 'Aesuu-jin'. I have no idea if that is correct, but Ice-jin does sound right. One might also assume the term 'Changeling' was derived from the fact that he was able to transform at least four times. If it is ...

My God... The technique names are beyond belief. Magic Needle for Makankosappô? It really makes the show extremely childlike. What, more than it already is? Heh. The uncut version is comparable to this? I think not! I'm sure Akira Toriyama-sama would be shocked at the British accents, not to...

Shouldn't you display a bit of a spoiler warning first? Maybe that was the reason no-one added an in-depth summary before. That situation annoyed me a little too. It's just Goku...the way he is. Deep down he is a Saiya-jin, and his instincts seem to prevail above others. This is shown when only Vegeta and possibly Piccolo are the only ones who know exactly why he is leaving (to fight Uubu at full power while fully train...

He's named after the planet. 'Vegeta-Ou' translates into 'King Vegeta', the 'ou' of course meaning King. The 'sama' suffix I added in my above post, denotes a term of high respect. 'Ouji' means 'Prince', and is added to our Vegeta's name. Vegeta-sei means 'Planet Vegeta', ('-sei' added to the end of...
