Re: Akira Toriyama Passes Away.
Saw the news via Reddit. Absolutely devastated... Dragon Ball has been a part of my life since 1999. I still remember kids at school talking about it, then finally choosing to watch it and see what it's all about. 25 years later, I can still say that I'm a Dragon Ball fan. I love this series so much...

Re: A new Budokai Tenkaichi has been announced
Wow, I did not expect to see this announcement!
Like others have said, I doubt this'll get as many characters as Budokai Tenkaichi 3, but I look forward to seeing the roster and seeing how a modern day Budokai Tenkaichi will turn out.

Re: Thanks for everything, Mr. Yanami.
Loved his narration for Dragon Ball and his role as North Kaio. He also did great as Totosai in Inuyasha.
Rest in peace Yanami-san, and thank you for giving many people lots of great memories. 90 is a good long lived life.

Re: Shunsuke Kikuchi has passed away
89 is a good long life. Glad he was able to live that long. Rest in peace to the legendary Shunsuke Kikuchi. His soundtrack for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z was memorable, fitting, and fun. It made the experience of watching the series all the more entertaining. Thoughts go out to his family, frien...

Re: Episode #0465 (13 January 2019)
I already tweeted at Herms wishing him the best going forward, but I'll say it here too: he's been an amazing contributer not only to Kanzenshuu (and Daizenshuu EX and Kanzentai before that), but to the Dragon Ball community as a whole. As someone who has been in a semi-hiatus from the Dragon Ball s...

Re: Veteran members, share your stories?
Today just so happens to be my 10th anniversary of registering on Daizenshuu EX. Figures that I'd come across this thread. XD I've become a lurker that checks the site once in a blue moon these days, but I have a lot of fond memories from when I first discovered this site back in the summer of 2007....

Re: Is Dragon Ball still your favorite shonen?
Dragon Ball was my favorite for years. From the time I watched bits and pieces of the show in 1998 and then actively started watching the show in September 1999, I loved Dragon Ball to death. In the 2000s it was my go to anime show; I'd watch Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball religiously on Toonami in t...

Re: Locations/Languages of All Members
I don't know why I suddenly felt like updating this list again after being absent from this forum for a while, but here I am. I've updated the list up to the most current post. Banned members are excluded from the list since they technically are not members here any longer. Also, since someone menti...

Re: Hiromi Tsuru, Bulma's voice actor, has passed away.
As with a few others in this thread, it's been ages since I last posted here, but I came to pay my respects. She played the role of Bulma perfectly and had so many other memorable roles in other anime (Asuna in Maison Ikkoku, Meryl in Trigun, Ukyo in Ranma, etc). Rest in piece. Deepest condolences t...

Re: General Yamamoto Rip off thread
I've always wanted to know what the base for The Braveheart Challenges the Strong was, as that's my favourite of the Kai stuff. I've heard some people compare it to the Buoy Base Galaxy music from Super Mario Galaxy. I can hear some similarities between those two, but not enough to definitively say...

Hands down, it would have to be this song for me:
Budokai 1 - World Tournament: Battle Theme #3
Always pumped me up for having matches in the Budokai series.
This one is a very close second. It's my favorite rendition of Cha-La Head-Cha-La:
Budokai 1 - Cha La Head Cha La (Instrumental)
