Incredibly sad, he was way too young.

Re: Is the dub of the Buu saga good?
Yes. Not as good as Kai but I really like the new voices for Goten, Gohan, Videl, and the voices for the old characters have improved.
And the Faulconer dub soundtrack is excellent this arc

Of course
Everything from King Piccolo to Freeza was 'mature' and it was the best part of the Dragon Ball

Re: What you think about DBS?
It's a very tragic show, imo.
Compared to DB, DBZ, DB Kai, GT, and all the movies, DBS is easily the worst Dragon Ball-related animation ever, tbh.
It made me lose all interest in new DB material.

Re: Do we have too high expectations for Super?
I don't think it's too much to expect the sequel of Dragon Ball Z to actually take place after the events of Dragon Ball Z, instead of being a retelling of movies that were just released

Re: Did the Android arc mark the downfall of Dragon Ball?
Success-wise, hardly. The Android arc is like the second most iconic and popular arc after the Freeza arc.
Quality-wise, yes. The Saiyan-Freeza arcs were so flawless, Android arc just doesn't compare. At some points it actually got boring, and the writing got noticeably shoddier.

They ruin everything
Even something as simple as Kai 2.0 is completely butchered by them

Old animation easily.
New animation has that hideous shiny look and the characters often look off model.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Gohan's whole goal has been always to have a normal and successful human life. He just happened to be strong enough at several points and so he help as much as he can by fighting if needed but it has never driven him. He doesn't want to be the strongest for the sake of it but he did want to get str...

Wow, Super promo art has been horrendous so far  I miss the artstyle they were using for promo art in the 90s: http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u40/hellmasker-d/hellmasker-d103/namek34.jpg http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u40/hellmasker-d/hellmasker-d092/DragonballZGT194.jpg http://i164.p...

Re: How exactly Gohan could have been better in the Boo arc
No he didn't. At the end of Z, Gohan was a bookworm. He was constantly regretting that he lost so much strength back in the Buu arc, and at EOZ he's shown to have retained his Ultimate form. He clearly (at least) retained his power When? Are we talking early Buu arc like for the world tournament? T...

Re: Favorite arc in DB and DBZ separately?
DB: First tournament. Krillin/Goku training, and that whole tournament was very entertaining.
DBZ: Namek. Nothing has topped the tension in that arc. Every character was at their most likeable.

Re: How exactly Gohan could have been better in the Boo arc
No, he can simply decide that it's not his passion in life. At the end of Z, there were no threats. Buu was the strongest and he was defeated. There was no need for Gohan to get any stronger. He enjoyed fighting in the Buu arc. The Buu arc taught him that peace is a fragile thing and that there are...

Re: How exactly Gohan could have been better in the Boo arc
But no, then he becomes the strongest being on the planet, yet continues his old ways of slacking, even after attaining a family. He's gone no where. No progression what-so-ever. He's just lame in every single category. It's not progress only if you think his end goal should be to become stronger. ...

Re: How exactly Gohan could have been better in the Boo arc
End of Z was perfect for him, he's focusing on his studies because that's what he loves just like in the Buu arc, but this time he didn't let himself get weaker, and should something arise he'll have the power to do something about it, or when he doesn't, at least it wasn't because he slacked off. T...
