Re: What's everyone's problem with the English music?
Most fans hate the dub score because they feel it's an insult to their intelligence, it never shuts up, because it's synth, etc., etc. Whether or not you like it is, of course, your opinion. I personally feel it's better, with the actual exception of there never being any silence. To another point, ...

Re: Hypothetical Dub Question
Perhaps my second post was a bit rude. I guess I'll wait, then.
Someone mentioned reciting of classic lines from Ocean's dub. Well, why does that cast and their scripts' problems get a free pass, but not Funi?

Hypothetical Dub Question
If Funimation had, back in the day, did an accurate as hell dub, kept the original music, mixed it in stereo, and hired VA's that matched their Japanese counterparts, would this site still be focused on the original version as much as it is? This goes for other countries' dubs, as well. EX, Herms, H...

Re: Funimation's 'Buu Saga' and 'Ultimate UNCUT' Dubs
I thought they were good. I was just today watching some Buu vs. Gohan stuff with Faulconer's BGM runnin', and just really enjoying myself. What's-his-name who voiced all the forms of Super Buu, I felt really did his thing. The Saiyan arc might've had the Saban scripts to go by, but it was still my ...

Re: Dragonball: Project Age - PS360 - First Scan [6/5/2011]
@SSJMole Couldn't have said it better myself. They're just flawed, flawed games. People talk about the RB titles being good "DBZ simulators" and whatnot, but see, the Budokais and Burst Limit did that just fine. It is indeed about quality over quantity, and in the realm of fighting games, ...

When Exactly Will The Dragon Boxes Become Limited?
I've given it some considerable thought and I've decided to upgrade to the Dragon Boxes, only because I have the necessary tools to rip the dub score from the season sets and splice it together with the DBox footage. It'll no doubt take a while, but I'm for it. As the thread title asks, though, when...

Re: Which dialogue changes do you think hurt the dub the mos
Even as a fan of the English version, I can admit that there were certain lines that could've otherwised been left out. With that said, though, I'm not gonna over-analyze that detail surrounding my version. To let that cloud my viewing of the show is simply being too nitpicky. Just the other day, I ...

Re: New Dragonball Game - PS3/360 - Codename: Project Age 20
Here's hoping that it's a sequel to Burst Limit. The RB series just ain't doin' it. I'd rather play Super DBZ than those, heh. I completely agree. I'm so sick of the Raging Blast games. I doubt they would come out with a Burst Limit 2 after such a long time, but I'm all for a game that plays like B...

Re: Dragon Ball games don't sell anymore
DBZ games will begin to sell well again, once these lazy developers go back to the Budokai engine. Why they discarded it is beyond me. People don't wanna play DBZ games with messed-up cameras and cloned fighters, they wanna play a traditional one-on-one fighter with complexity and depth, which Burst...

Re: Should I wait for a possible Kikuchi release or buy Kai
I'd choose neither option. With the musical problems Yamamoto has caused, not only is Kai getting music that wasn't meant to go along with it (a dated score, at that), the possible inclusion of the Buu saga had to suffer, as well. All in all, Kai has been nothing but an utter failure in almost all a...

Linda Young for all forms, no question. Frieza somewhat resembles a lizard-type alien, therefore it only makes sense to go with someone who was properly able to emulate that.

Being as how movie 13 is the best out of them all, I'd have to go with whoever did that one.
The emotion, the chemistry between Tapion/Trunks, Tapion's backstory and will-power to put an end to Hildegarn fully displayed this in true DB fashion.

Re: American Version of DB vs. other American Anime Adaption
The original Z dub was an adaptation of the original version, just like said version was an adaptation of the manga. Not everything was said word-for-word from those panels, and filler was added to more or less add character dimension. You got dudes up in here who watch the dub/read the manga for th...

Re: 16:9 vs 4:3
16:9 gives you a more theatrical experience, while also letting you see more on both sides of your screen. 4:3 is pretty much the original, standard way in which things used to be shown. However, this presentation is outdated and not really done anymore. With that said, shows like Bleach and Naruto ...

Re: Dragon Ball/DC Comics crossover - a good idea?
If this crossover were to hypothetically happen, I'd much prefer the voice cast from the Justice League Unlimited series, as opposed to anyone else. I say this 'cause, even though the latest DCU animated feature was... decently brought to life, there was a bit of a stiffness and lack of emotion from...

Re: Dragon Ball/DC Comics crossover - a good idea?
I guess it'd be cool to see. Heck, God knows how much the Superman books need some shaking up lately. Y'got got Luthor taking the spotlight in Action Comics, then Superman himself going from town-to-town via his other title in an attempt to "get in touch" with humanity again in this "...

Re: Initial Dragonball Movie Expectations
Honestly, I felt as though the movie was going to be OK, at best, via the footage from the trailer. To an extent, I'm one of those that tends to get somewhat fooled by trailers easily. So because of that, I was actually falsely hyped for this flick. I figured, "Hey, it's a live-action DB movie....
