This never made sense to me anyway. Piccolo states that he cannot regenerate if his head is destroyed, and Cell gets his regeneration abilities from said Namekian. I think when it comes to who's the better swordsman, our forgotten pudgy samurai friend Yajirobe would take the cake (no pun intended). Hypothetically, if Trunks were not a powerful Saiyan and just a human with a sword with no fighting skills, then Yajirobe would be superior in battle. But of course...
