Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I appreciate the video shares and support. I really hope something changes. The fact they felt the need to address the issues in a blog post at least means they're well aware something's up at this point. I hope the continued pressure will make some sort of difference. I'm not holding my breath, bu...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I’ve been looking forward to a nice blu ray release of Dragonball Z since the cancellation of the levels and to see that it’s this, is just disappointing. With that said I really think that emailing funimation is helping. I mean yeah the preorders will be reaching 3000 real soon, but if it wasn’t fo...

Re: A question of preference.
1) The first version of Dragonball Z I watched was the ocean dub and it was also the third episode where Goku and Piccolo were fighting Raditz. Found it on TV by chance and thank goodness I did because it seriously changed everything hahaha. 2) My favorite version I'd have to say is the original jap...

Re: Konami wins CW and 4kids assets including DBZ
They only have the airing rights for DBZ Kai on a non-cable channel, nothing more. Funimation still owns the rights to Dragon Ball as they have beforehand. I know Funi still owns the rights. I was asking what you guys think will happen to Dragon ball being on the air. Will they still show it on the...

Konami wins CW and 4kids assets including DBZ
Yeah so Konami, or Kidsco actually, now has the rights to DBZ with the agreement made between Funi and Toei animation. This also includes DBZ Kai. So what does this mean for the franchise now? Will they still be airing DBZ Kai or any Dragonball related things on the air? Here is the article: http://...

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
That is exactly what I did after I stupidly sold my Dragonball Kai part 4 BD without realizing how expensive it would later be to get the yamamoto score of that part. It's fine like you said, but I also wish I could have gotten the blu-rays.

Re: "DBZ has no story." HOW?
I really don't understand how someone can say DBZ has no story. I mean each arc has a beginning, middle, climax, and ending. If I'm not wrong that makes a story doesn't it? However yes you can argue it as simple as good guys beat bad guys and defend earth, but that means your just ignoring all the t...

Re: So, maybe everything exists in one, single canon?
Since it is connected with 3 movies, I guess it belongs in the same continuity too. Yeah I guess so, but then how would the Cell arc play out if Trunks is already here and Gohan can already turn super saiyan? Off topic: Thank god this isn't gundam lol. As much as I love gundam (which I do a lot) th...

Re: So, maybe everything exists in one, single canon?
I was thinking if these are all parallel universes than then that would mean they are all in separate continuities. For example, each movie having its own universe and continuity, but you can say movie 5 and 6 are same universe and continuity. Also movies 8, 10, and 11, since they all have brolly, ...

Well, I already have them with the yammamoto (not sure if I spelled his name right) score up to the Freeza saga which is all I really need. Not sure if I will pick up the rest all the way until the end of cell.

Re: "Dragon Ball Z For Kinect" Official On-Going Thread
I don't have kinect so I'm not getting this and don't plan to get kinect at all really, but I have to admit one thing. If I had kinect and saw this trailer, the Kamehameha wave would have been the clincher for me to buy this lol.

Re: Do people enjoy DB only for nostalgia?
I'm not going to lie, nostalgia does play in sometimes when I watch any episode of the show, but I watch it because I like it. I could seriously watch Dragonball anytime without ever getting bored of it. However, I agree that if you overdo it, it does become overwhelming. Trust me I've done it.

Re: Why Does The Xbox 360 Never Do Well In Japan?
I mean I have both consoles and even I feel like an idiot for paying for Xbox Live when I can play online for free on the PS3. There is no difference in the online IMO. PS3 does not have party chats or have in game chats from what from I've seen. I think the 360 is not that popular in Japan since i...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai: Season 2 Collection
Well, it is the cover I figured they would use considering they had to choose between Piccolo or this. Unless they were going to make new covers for these new season sets, which would have been pretty cool too. The image with the gray background I think works fine, just like it did with the white pa...

I would say from the moment Piccolo Daimao appeared all the way up to the end of the Freeza arc. Both in the manga and anime, those are some of my favorite parts I'd say.

Re: Why Does The Xbox 360 Never Do Well In Japan?
DBfan4life, you can play on Xbox LIVE free for the entire year, you know. Yeah, I know, but you have to pay $60 (or $48 on Amazon) to get the 12 year Live membership. I'm saying that $48 can go towards a game or something else instead since its free for online from the beginning on the PS3. Unless ...

Re: Why Does The Xbox 360 Never Do Well In Japan?
Besides japanese people supporting japanese products being the case, I don't think that they would want to pay to play online. Re: Your favorite movie (poll)
I like most of the movies, but if I had to choose one it would have to be Cooler's Revenge. Reasons why: - I like the idea of Freeza's brother coming to Earth to fight Goku - In a way seems as if it could tie into the actual series, although it can't - The fights were pretty cool - In the Funi versi...

Re: Does anyone feel like they've outgrown the anime?
Only once have I ever felt that I outgrew Dragonball and anime, I think I was 17 or 18, however I'm 22 right now and still love it. Yes, there aren't as many anime series that I like coming out, but Dragonball is just something I don't think I will ever outgrow (again lol). I have burned out on watc...
