From what I can remember and after some quick research, here's what I know of the Netherlands. DBZ started airing on Cartoon Network in 2000 (according to this site Aughst 28th). I think it's just how these international licensing deals work out. Besides, back in those days it was very common for cartoons in the Netherlands to be English with Dutch subtitles. Nowadays everything is dubbed (ugh..)
