An awesome piece, with an intense old school "monster movie" vibe to it. Too bad it was used so little.Dragon Sponge wrote:Next One: M 523 (?) Son Goku's Redemption Day,

Re: Do you still hate Dragonball GT?
I don't recall a time in which I particularly hated GT, and I have said in the past that I like some of the ideas it explored, as well as the theme songs and BGM.
With that said though, I really don't think I'll be rewatching it anytime soon.

I haven't posted here in quite a while, and just randomly came in to check up on things. I was not expecting this terrible news.
RIP Hiromi Tsuru, and deepest condolences to her family and friends.

The song has a very strong apocalyptic "everything's gone to hell" feel to it, with feelings of despair and uncertainty. A perfect fit for Future Trunks' world.

Upbeat, full of energy, and a fun listen. Again, gotta love Mr. Kageyama's vocal performance.

A catchy and fun tune. Gotta love Hironobu Kageyama's vocal performance! I think it could've been great as an ending theme for DBZ if it were to have been changed up regularly.

A quirky but fun piece that always makes me think of Gohan's adventures in the wilderness.

A nice piece of music, and about the only thing I really liked about that otherwise abysmal game.

Re: Opinions on Pieces of Music - V4!
It's not bad. I like the acoustic guitar a lot, but I'm not sure how I feel about the harmonica for the melody. I think something like a clean electric or classical/nylon-string guitar, or a flute or violin(s) would've been better for that. That's just me though.

Re: Opinions on Pieces of Music - V4!
An upbeat piece that's full of energy, though that's probably why it ended up being unused in the movie it was made for. It does work quite well for the few things it was used in though.

My screenname should speak for itself.
Even though it only mentions DBZ, the same goes for other DB stuff as well.

Re: Dragon Ball Kai Devolution With Kikuchi's Music
Cell had a theme in the Japanese version? How? I thought the Cell arc didn't have any new BGMs outside of Movie tracks?
Well, they're technically Metal Coola's themes from the 6th DBZ movie, but since that movie's score started appearing in the series around the time Cell made his debut, and have ...

Just to clarify, episodes 1-13 and 29-153 were translated by Clyde Mandelin, but Steve Simmons did 14-28.ABED wrote:Maybe episodes 1-28, but I know for certain that Mandelin did the bulk of DB.Adamant wrote:I'm pretty sure Simmons did these early episodes, actually.

Re: DB/Z Blue and Orange box sets with incorrect openings.
Really? Is this a matter of the animations being on the wrong episodes or something like incorrect credits on a particular episode (which I would miss since I can't read Japanese).
I think he's talking about how the openings for episodes 1-16 and 200-201 had a few animation errors in their ...

My Dragon Boxes, without question.
