Re: Comparison shots from every single DBZ release
But TVs display it as 640x480, yeah? I feel like that would make it the ideal resolution to compare. Even if there's a better stretching/squishing method, it wouldn't be as relevant. Correct me if I'm wrong, tho. I'm not the biggest nerd in this particular category.

Re: Custom Dragon Box covers/cases
Yes, BluezaBladeNX! That'd be great! :D Yeah they do look good as replacements for the boxes themselves, and to answer you question he has them up on Google Plus. I don't know at this point if he has the artwork from the DB Dragon Box there or not, it was mostly the covers of the FUNi Z Boxes. Thank...

Re: Comparison shots from every single DBZ release
What do you mean my Singles screenshots "aren't true quality", tho? They're in 640×480 (proper standard definition, 4:3 resolution). Yours is 720 × 540. Plus, looking at the clouds in the background of your screenshot, it's noticeably not the correct frame.

Re: Custom Dragon Box covers/cases
They look quite nice. Did the place you got the coverart from have coverart for the Dragon Ball Dragon Box? I don’t have a use for it, but would just love to gaze upon it’s beauty in as high quality as possible.

I've not gone in years, but I almost did this year. I just need to get tickets before the price goes up. I always forget at the wrong time. D:

Re: It’s time for fans to come together and remaster the series properly.
Crowdfunding is an option. That’s how fans are now able to buy the Mother and Mother 2 albums for the first time outside Japan. And on vinyl. Japan never even got that.

Re: It’s time for fans to come together and remaster the series properly.
Is it possible as an external company to licence the series? If, say, you lived in Canada, which I don’t THINK Funimation has the rights to, you could maybe get a scan of the (actual) original film and release it there.
Or maybe convince Toei to hire you to remaster the series for THEM to sell?

Re: Has there ever been an English va that captured Masako Nozawak's performance as Son Goku?
Having a similar pitch is not the same thing. He's nowhere even remotely in the ballpark of Nozawa. It's a self defeating goal to try to emulate another actor's performance. Any actor who takes the role should just act as Goku. It would be like every Bond trying to copy Connery instead of being Jam...

Re: Comparison shots from every single DBZ release
I currently can't get framecompare to load, but does framecompare allow for a full 1080p? The reason I haven't been using it is becuz I couldn't find any way to view the full image. It was always the scaled down version.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Everyone acting like this is the last Dragon Ball Z set ever being made when there is no indication of then slowing (heck they are still putting Dragon Ball Super out on DVD) and I feel you agree with that to some point as well. I'm pretty sure they'd clearly add this being the final home video rel...

Re: Comparison shots from every single DBZ release
Frame compare's not working for me but here' screenshots (I made the season set shots smaller so they're the same size) But the shots of the Black Brick that were posted on Funimation's blog are in 1080p. Why did you shrink them down to 720p, then say you had to shrink down your 1080p screenshots o...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
They didn't disregard it for arbitrary reasons. The season sets sold better and actions speak louder than words. My issue with this is that it wasn't widescreen that made the difference in the fans' purchasing decisions, it was the episode count, price point, and timing that made the difference. Ri...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I don't think the Ultimate Uncut Editions had next episode previews. But the other episodes all did (except for maybe for the two episodes that were combined into one to remove most of the gruesome death of Kulilin). They included them all in their Rock the Dragon Set. It's truly one of the best hom...

Re: Toei's Dragon Ball Kai remaster
Had they not DNRd it, and had they had the goal of restoring the original colors rather than changing them to the comic’s colors, it would’ve been the untoppable best the series has ever / could ever look. But Toei can’t think ahead beyond even their noses, otherwise they would’ve had that done whil...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Look, I'm on your side here. I would rather Kuririn be kept, but I also wouldn't be mad if they went with Krillin since it's just a different romanization instead of a straight up name change like the examples I gave. The examples you gave remind me of a well meaning but fairly young person's under...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
But ten is a number. True. But so? So was Zero , so is Ichi (a nickname for Ichigo in Bleach), et cetera. And Ten , like Ichi , is just a nickname. His name is Tenshinhan , and only one person ever says anything else. How are these examples anything Ilike Krillin? I agree that Bulla and Bullif woul...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
True, but one of those is Funimation’s name we mite start seeing in the subtitels. And whether it’s based on an English word, a Chinese word, or a Japanese one, it’s still incorrect to use Krillin. Where’s the kuri/kuli?

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Krillin wouldn't be that bad, it's just a different romanization. Things like Tien Shinhan, Master Roshi, King Kai, Special Beam Cannon etc. would be totally fucking unacceptable. If you’re fine with Krillin , then you’d be fine with Bulla , rite? And her brother Tollanks ? And their grandpa Dr Bul...
