Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread
That's awesome for Amelee. Her covers have always been high quality. It's great that she got a professional opportunity. In general the Super ending covers have been hit and miss. Still I feel it's a bit retro to to dub a insert songs but I guess it's better than silence.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I fear that physical releases will be very rare by the time One Piece ends. It probably be a empty box with a digital code in it. But you are right there is nothing stopping them from doing a sd on hd release of the early episodes. Back on topic I still think there is chance to get a dragonbox port ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Agreed. That's what I was getting at. If they wont go out of there way to remaster 200 episodes of one of their most popular shows. I dont think they are going to remaster a show that they have remastered twice already. Once for dvd and once for kai. As for sailor moon I was under the impression tha...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
It seems like there is a arbitrary episode amount that toei just wont cross when considering a blu ray release. If they wont even release One Piece on bluray I cant see them releasing Dragonball.

I had the same question about whether a multi form copy could continue to participate if the orginal was disqualified.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Home Release Thread
So we can probably assume that ui goku will be on the final cover. It would be great if they threw us a curve ball and put 17 on the cover.

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
I wonder how many people are actively working on the game at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if it was as little as 20 people.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
In general there are very few examples of a long running weekly anime series from the pre digital era that have been remastered for blu ray in Japan. Seasonal shows like gundam have been remastered but nothing of the hundreds of episodes variety. The only ones I can think of are yu yu hakusho and Ra...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I'm pretty sure DBZ is the only anime that they actually have the film materials of. So it's really the only series they can fiddle with this way because they have the film reel instead of a digital file or a beta from the other distributor.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I think it is unbecoming to quote a fan from another website just to call him foolish and insult him for wanting this release. You can hate this release but dont mock people who are supporting it especially from the otherside of the internet where they cant defend themselves.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Is there any precedent of a Japanese blu ray box set of a series that is longer then 200 episodes? The largest one I can think of are the yu yu sets and they were not even one complete set. Plus its only like a 110 eps and 2 movies.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread
I'm guessing that the next set will have Gohan on it. If you look on amazon video they devide the show into the same episodes as the sets and on the current dub episodes it has picture of full power Gohan formated the same as the blu ray covers.

Re: "Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan" & more coming to U.S. Theaters later this year!
Did anybody else notice the new credits? Interesting it said the audio mastering was done by bang zoom! Right above that it said it localized by funimation. I'm wondering if they just had something to do with fathom presentation or maybe funi outsourced some of the work on the new audio mastering. E...

Re: Could GT look this good on Blu Ray?
I would love GT on Blu-Ray, but sadly I believe Funi only have beta masters of GT. Unlike DBZ which they have a film stock of. So unless they buy a film reel of GT or Toei remasters GT I doubt we will see it anytime soon.

Arale is probably stronger anyways. It will be great to see if Goku remembers her. Heck we might even get a reanimated flashback unless they just use the DB footage to save money.

DBZ 279 for sure. This episode looks like the movie 12 crew took a break and animated a regular episode. Its really a one of the kind animation day.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Off topic.... Vegeta has plenty of use. He killed Nappa, and the ginyu force plus the majority of Freeza's army, he caused cell's death and he saved the universe with his plan to kill Buu. At least the stills of super look to be pretty high quality. I just hope that it holds up in motion unlike the ...

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Lets just hope that the first arc isn't a anime filler retelling of Battle of Gods... weirder things have happened. I Really wished it would take place after the epilogue chapters, but it would make sense for it to take place after the RoF.

Why did they change Videl's ENG Voice actor in GT?
I have always wondered if there was a reason why Kara Edwards was not Videl in the GT dub? Did they just change it because of the time jump or was there a another reason.
